Alright folks, you know the drill!

We’ll be closed through Monday while Ashley heads to Ohio for another grooming competition. Since she’ll be in a different time zone and fully in competition mode, appointment requests will not be approved until Tuesday when we’re back in the salon.

Please consider fostering if you’re able!

Last night’s tornado caused Animal Protective League to take a direct hit, and they lost their entire space with shelter dogs and cats needing somewhere safe to go immediately.

So many salons and people in our community have already stepped up by taking animals into their homes and businesses, and it’s honestly incredible to see everyone come together when it matters most. Huge kudos to every single person helping right now. 🥰

Today we took a trip to Sangamon County Animal Control to help clip nails for some of the dogs there, and honestly… it was such a rewarding experience. 🐾

We got to hang out with so many sweet pups, help keep their nails healthy and comfortable, and every single dog that stopped by made sure Ashley got plenty of kisses. Safe to say she is still on cloud 9 from all the love today. 🥹

There will be an adoption event this Saturday at PetSmart, and we highly recommend stopping by if you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family. These dogs were seriously so happy, so loving, and so deserving of a home to call their own.

Go meet them. You might just find your new best friend. 🖤🐶

This last week has been a bittersweet one at Bark Side of the Groom.

We are wishing Mya the very best as she heads off on her next adventure in Georgia! We are so sad to see her go, and she will be deeply missed by all of us, but we are also so excited for everything ahead of her. Mya has been such a wonderful part of our crew, and we are so grateful for the time, care, and good energy she brought to the salon.

With that being said, we are also excited to officially welcome Lauren to the Bark Side crew! Lauren is currently in college and will be joining us during the summer, as well as over Christmas breaks.

Please help us send Mya off with lots of love and give Lauren a warm Bark Side welcome! 🖤💜
