Kate is currently training to become a full-time groomer and has a few openings for practice grooms. If you have a small, well-behaved dog who needs a full haircut, this is a great chance to get a discounted groom while helping her gain more experience!

Today we had a surprise visit from a group of awesome kids on a field trip! They got to watch a grooming session, learn all about what we do, and even have lunch in the salon. It was a blast—and such a great opportunity to educate and inspire some future groomers! 💜✂️🐶

This is also one of those days that reminds us why we sometimes need a little extra time in our schedule. I completely forgot it was today (oops!), and it threw me a bit behind. I truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding more than you know. 💕

Hey friends, just a heads up that we will be closed tomorrow through Sunday. Ashley is FINALLY taking a long- overdue honeymoon retreat deep in the woods (in the coolest treehouse ever) and there will be no service.

We'll be off the grid until Monday, so we will not be able to respond to texts or appointment requests until then. Thank you for your patience while Ashley steps away for a moment of peace and tranquility💜🖤

Friendly update from the Bark Side! 🐾

We officially switched to online booking at the beginning of this year through barksidegroomer.com. If you're hoping to stay on a consistent schedule with Ashley, we strongly encourage booking your appointments for the year in advance, as availability is limited and cannot be guaranteed otherwise.

🚫 We’ve also seen a rise in bookings made under incorrect breed categories—particularly with doodles. Please do not book under a smaller or different breed just to get in with a groomer who isn’t accepting your dog's size or coat type. For example:

➡️ If you book your full-size doodle under “mini doodle,” you may be asked to reschedule under the correct listing.
➡️ Booking a completely different breed than what your pet actually is will result in your appointment being adjusted or canceled.

This helps us keep everything running smoothly and fairly for everyone. Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to improve your Bark Side experience! 💜🐶
