Back to reality. Excited to see our families, I always get some homesick feeling. As the adrenaline and the pain in the legs fades, we’ll wish we were right back in em again tomorrow morning. Remember you’re only out of the game when you quit.

Wow! What a week it has been. 8 days and 2 bulls. We are so blessed, and so excited to be headed home. Praise God for elk season!

2025 has been quite the year so far, I’ve been very blessed. It’s been a handful of years since the last elk tag I’ve punched. A lot of struggles and adversity for sure. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to harvest this dandy bull.

I’m very gracious to have friends that love the outdoors and want to bring me along occasionally on their adventures and this trip has been a wild ride so far, one more tag to fill for us.

I’m wishing you all the best of luck on your 2025 season and I pray God’s many blessings are received by you all this fall!

Final day at the Illinois Deer & Beer Fest! It’s been a blast catching up with familiar faces (you might spot a few here) and meeting a ton of new folks.

We were especially excited to meet the team from RAISED HUNTING — we’ve been following them for years, so getting to connect in person was a highlight.
