For any dog playing agility at any level. Growth plates should be closed, but we can modify most exercises for young dogs.

Reduce injury risks and improve performance, strength, mobility and body awareness for the teeter, dog walk, weaves and jumps.

Your dog does not need to be proficient on the obstacles to play!
We are training the fitness component for the obstacles, not the obstacles.

The Family Dog Training Story

AFFORDABLE, effective and convenient training for dogs and their people keeping first homes, forever homes.

Sharing your life with a dog can be one of the most fulfilling human experiences - and also one of the most frustrating. Jumping up, barking, ignoring commands, chewing on shoes, pulling on the leash, and house soiling make perfect sense to a canine, but can also make them difficult housemates!

My primary goal at Family Dog Training is to teach you how to communicate with your dog so that s/he not only understands what is expected from him/her in the daily routine, but can also think and problem solve appropriate behavior in out of the ordinary circumstances. Sure, we hit the basics like sit, down and come when called, but I also teach self-control, problem-solving skills, and the behaviors that are important in YOUR household.

I took my first dog to obedience training when I was 11 years old and have been training my dogs, and helping others to train theirs, ever since. I have been a volunteer and instructor for Springfield, MO Dog Training Club for 30 years and have helped countless people improve their relationship with their dog through training and education.
