Our Story
The Animal Clinic of Spokane was first established in 1925 by Dr. Stratton and was known as Stratton Animal Hospital. In 1944, the clinic was purchased by Dr. Philip Pfarr, and was then later sold to his son Dr. Michael Pfarr in 1980. In 1993, the clinic was completely destroyed by a fire that started in the basement, forcing Dr. Pfarr to work out of a trailer in the back of the property. One year later the Animal Clinic of Spokane reopened its doors. In 2011, after more than thirty years of business, Dr. Michael Pfarr sold his clinic to Dr. Matthew Schmidt and Dr. Luther McConnell. The clinic still remains as the Animal Clinic of Spokane where we strive to bring quality care to your beloved companions.
