One of our clients has been taking care of a stray mama and her kittens. Mama was brought to us for medical care, so she is all squared away, but her two male kittens are looking for their forever home, ideally together. We are not involved in the actual adoption process, so please reach out to George at the email address listed on the flyer below if you are interested!

We were fortunate that Spokane Cat Clinic did not need to evacuate last night, but we know many in our community weren't as lucky. Many families were forced to leave their homes, and some have experienced unimaginable loss as these fires continue.

Although we are normally closed today, we want to be available to help. If your cat has been injured because of the fires or needs urgent veterinary care, please text or email us. We will be monitoring messages and will do everything we can to assist today and throughout the coming week.

If you're having trouble getting your pet seen at one of our local emergency hospitals due to the increased demand, please reach out. If we're able to help, we will.

We are deeply grateful to the firefighters, first responders, emergency personnel, and volunteers working tirelessly to protect our community. Please stay safe, and know that we're here if your cat needs us. 🐾

Our hearts are with everyone affected by the wildfires and the uncertainty they are bringing to our community. ❤️

We want to reassure our clients with cats currently boarding with us that we are closely monitoring the evacuation orders and are fully prepared to act immediately if an evacuation becomes necessary.

If that happens, our entire team's first priority will be safely evacuating every kitty in our care to a secure location. Once all of our feline guests are safe, we will begin contacting each family with updates and information about where their cat has been relocated.

If you need to reach out to us, please text our regular clinic phone number (509)326-2287 or email us at [email protected]. We will monitor the texts and email and respond as soon as we can. We have had staff members in and out of the clinic all day today making preparations in case we need to evacuate, but we aren't able to take phone calls.

The cats entrusted to us are family, and we take that responsibility very seriously. We have a plan in place, supplies ready, and a dedicated team ready to do whatever is needed to keep them safe.

Thank you for trusting Spokane Cat Clinic with your beloved companions. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will keep everyone informed if conditions change.

Please stay safe, everyone. ❤️

If you’ve been coming here long (and even if you haven’t!) you’re probably very familiar with this smiling face! For 20 years, Jocelyn has been an integral part of the Cat Clinic team and, as our practice manager, she is the glue that holds this place together. Whether she’s whispering angry cats, providing detailed advice and support to our clients, running our boarding facility or putting out fires for Dr. Shaver (and so many more things), there is no task she can’t handle!

Please join us in celebrating her amazing career, feel free to drop your words of appreciation in the comments! Also, we will be closed from 12-3pm today in order to celebrate her properly—we’re sure you understand! 😊

UPDATE: This kitty has been reunited with her owners! Thanks to everyone who shared her information!

FOUND

Adult, DLH Grey Tabby, Female (no obvious spay scar), Not microchipped, no id/collar

Found in the Sundance Estates neighborhood (Closest major cross streets - Ridgecrest & Nine Mile Rd in the 99026 zip code)

A good samaritan brought this kitty to us at Spokane Cat Clinic late last week to scan for a microchip (no such luck 😕). The person who found her said he'd noticed her hanging around the neighborhood for a few days and none of the neighbors he talked to were missing a cat. She somehow managed to pry into their crawlspace and the homeowner was able to get her into a trap.

She is safe and being cared for here at Spokane Cat Clinic for the time being, but we are not a shelter, so hopefully she has an owner out there looking for her. She was very skittish at first, but after a few scritches and 3 churu treats, she has decided that she LOVES us. She is quite thin and her fur is pretty matted up, and I think that makes her look older than she might actually be. If we don't find her owner right away, we will update the photos in a week or two after she has a chance to gain a bit of her weight back.

Please reach out by phone, text, or email (info below) if you recognize her!
