Thanks to the foster who stepped up last minute, MARLEY is safe in his temporary JDR foster home. Marley is still looking for his adoptive home so if you are looking to add a 4.5 month old pup who is:

Remember Lucas, the 8 year old very active Golden Retriever that was looking for his forever home earlier this year? Well he went from living in a basement for the first 8 years of his life to finding a great home to take him on endless adventures! Here is the sweetest update we got:

“I know it’s been a while, but I just wanted to give you an update on Lucas. He’s doing wonderful and getting very comfortable in his life here as you could say he took one of my pillows in the middle of the night and was out like a light in the morning sleeping on top of it. He is still learning, but we love him and he loves us.”

Molly & Lane are ready to find their forever homes! 🐾

These two beautiful 3-month-old German Shepherd girls are looking for separate homes where they can continue growing into confident, well-rounded companions.

⭐ LANE • Dog friendly • Good with dog-savvy children ages 7+ • Could thrive as an only dog or with a friendly neutered male dog. (has not been exposed to cats)
*Available as a foster-to-adopt while she receives a veterinary evaluation for her baby teeth*

⭐ MOLLY • Dog friendly • Would love a home with a neutered male canine sibling • Higher prey drive, so no cats or small animals for this girl • Higher drive than Lane so would do phenomenal in a home with plans for continued training (dog sports, etc)

Both puppies are making great progress with crate training, housebreaking, and learning basic commands. Their adopters must be committed to continuing professional training and ongoing socialization to help them reach their full potential.

Because both girls are currently exhibiting strong breed characteristics (ie: herding-people and other dogs), breed experience (or experience with other similar breeds) is required. Both girls will be adopted on a spay contract.

Puppies will not be adopted out to a home with unaltered dogs or other puppies under 1 year of age. They will not be placed with other female dogs.

Tyson and Tucker are looking for their own forever homes!

🖤 Tyson – 5-week-old purebred German Shepherd puppy. After sadly losing his mom at only 1 week old, Tyson has been bottle-raised and is thriving. He will be available for adoption in mid-July and will need a family committed to socialization, training, and helping him grow into a well-rounded adult. Tyson has been exposed to dogs, cats, and other small animals. (Adoption will include a neuter contract.)

🤎 Tucker – Approximately 3 months old, Shepherd mix. This sweet, social boy loves everyone he meets and gets along great with both large and small dogs. He is already neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines.

Puppies will be adopted into individual homes only. We do not place puppies in homes with intact dogs or other dogs under 1 year old. Existing pets must be up to date on vaccines.

💔 Why is nobody adopting Roscoe? 💔
We are completely heartbroken, and honestly- we are at a total loss. Sweet little Roscoe hasn’t found his forever family, and we just don’t understand why.
At just 15 pounds, Roscoe is the absolute perfect size, with a heart twice his size. Every single day, he watches other dogs find their families, while he just waits patiently for his turn. He has so much love to give, yet he is still waiting.

If you could see him through his foster mom’s eyes, you’d see a dog who is pure magic:
* He is the best little brother. Roscoe is completely obsessed with his big (95lbs) foster brother and follows him everywhere. He thrives on canine companionship and loves playing with other dogs. He is currently in foster with three dogs and does phenomenal with them all.
* He is a devoted shadow. He loves his foster mom so fiercely, always looking up at her with devotion.
* He is pure joy. No matter what is happening, Roscoe has a wonderful personality and temperament and is just always happy to be with you. He always makes you laugh.
* He is the ultimate cuddle bug. His absolute favorite things in the world are cuddling tight on the couch and burying himself under the covers to sleep in bed with his people at night.
Roscoe doesn’t ask for much. He just wants an active family to love, a couch to share, and a spot in the bed. He is the best boy, and it breaks our hearts that no one has seen how special he is yet.
Please, let’s change things for Roscoe. He shouldn’t have to wait any longer to find out what a real “forever” feels like.

Lulu (brindle) and Lemon (black) are both 3 month old chihuahua mixes (best guess) who are about 3 and 6 lbs currently. They both love other dogs, although with Lulu at 3lbs she must go to a home with dogs that will be gentle with her. Lemon loves to play with toys and entertain herself if her foster siblings don’t want to play. Lulu is pretty calm for a puppy at her age and you can often find her napping on the kids and adults in her foster home. They’re both snuggly girls who are incredibly loving. Both Lulu and Lemon have been exposed to cats and kids and did well. They’re both looking for homes who will continue to work or crate and potty training, and socialization. They’re both expected to stay small as adults. They will be adopted out on spay contracts and are UTD on age appropriate vaccines.

💕 Good news! Denali is safe in foster! 💕

Denali is the proud mama of Molly and Lane, the two German Shepherd puppies we recently welcomed into rescue. Her life has changed dramatically in just a short time. After living outside in a yard, Denali is now receiving the care she deserves.... updated vetting, vaccines, preventatives, as well as a much-needed bath/deshedding, nail trim, and plenty of love. She got the full makeover!

This sweet girl is happy, healthy, and scheduled to be spayed within the next week or two. She will remain in foster while she recovers and enjoys being pampered.

Denali was an incredible mother to her puppies, and now it's her turn to be cared for. Her breeding days are behind her, and she is finally safe, loved, and enjoying life as a cherished JDR foster dog. ❤️

🚨 STOP SCROLLING: Balto needs your help finding his forever home!🚨

Why is Balto still waiting for his forever home? We have no idea, because this 1–2 year old mix is a total catch. If you’ve been looking for a dog that can keep up on the trails, snuggle on the sofa, have play dates with other dogs, go to baseball games, bring him out to breweries- Balto is your GUY!

He’s doing amazing in his foster home, showing off his social skills with humans and other dogs alike. He is currently in a foster home with a 3 year old male dog and they love playing together. He’s smart, focused, and looking for a family to continue his training journey. He has prey drive so no small animals and cats for this guy.

JDR would love to pull Sloane from Elizabeth Animal Shelter ASAP as she needs to leave the shelter before they run out of space. Sloane can also be directly adopted from the shelter!
She is estimated to be around a year old, breed unknown. Medium “sized” but stocky. Sloane was found as a lost dog with a harness but never reclaimed. She is friendly with people and had a positive dog meet with a male dog at the shelter. Dog meets can be accommodated at the shelter. She is very strong and will require a strong handler ready to start training with her.
