I don’t know how people could just dump their senior dogs 😞. It breaks my heart!
This is the organization where we got Rocky. They save a lot of dogs and place them with fosters and then forever families ❤️

Hi there, my name is Baxter. I am a 10-year-old Beagle. I am fully grown at 20 pounds. I was rescued from Elbert, SC where I was dumped at the senior age of 10 years old.

You see, just a few days ago I was adopted but as of today, I'm back at Home for Good... I had an accident in my home and my new "owner" decided that this kind of behavior would not be tolerated? I don't really understand why what I did was so bad. To be honest, I was in a brand new environment and I had been there for less than 24 hours. But, I guess I'm better off? At least that's what my foster mom keeps telling me...

So, with that, once again I am looking for a FOREVER home. One that will love and spoil me endlessly. I’m a super sweet boy that has so much love to give. I’m not too crazy about toys, I would rather have affection and pets. When I get excited I grunt and love to try and give kisses. I'm making great strides with my leash training in foster care and also sleeping through the night on a plush dog bed with no issue. I get along great with cats, and dogs and do really well with children too.

My wish for my forever family is a nice doggy bed, the most delicious snacks/treats, and someone to love an old man like me. I may be old in age but that does not mean I lack any love to give! I cannot wait to spend my most golden years with you!
