Buyers Guide! Because we are a private livestock rescue and not a private seller, our guidelines are a lot like buying at auctions, but you have a little more freedom and time to make a decision, and you’re welcome to do PPE. We buy horses, donkeys, mules, and small livestock from public auctions, killer pens, and private sellers with the intention of marketing to help find a great forever home and get them out of the killer/dealer pipeline. The best part is that these horses don't have a deadline; they won't be going on the next truck, but if we can't find them homes in a timely manner, it stops us from going to the next sale or killing pen to buy more to help re-home, so we try to get them re-homed in 2-3 weeks. So the more you help share their flyer and find them homes, the more we can go out and save more. ❤️

All information provided on the livestock listed is what we were given upon purchase, and however, as a courtesy to our buyers, we do live video evaluations because we have no guarantee of the legitimacy of the information we were given. They do get evaluated by myself (Tammy) and also by the vet, dentist, and farrier before they leave the farm. We want to be able to give you as much information as possible.

99% of horses will come back with a buyback. Horses have to be in the same condition or better as we sold them. We will refund you the price you paid for your purchase; we do not refund for trucking, vets, or expensive feed. If you decide you want to re-home your livestock for more money, then you should purchase it. Just let us know who the new owners are. We like to keep an eye on all the livestock we rehome. We do require 10% down, which is non-refundable, to hold a horse or livestock for you to try or vet check. Should you pass on a horse for any reason, money can be applied to any purchase made within 48 hours of you passing on the original horse. We’re located in South Berlin, NY. 📍

I have a vet appointment tomorrow to evaluate another horse, and I can ask them to assess Forest as well. They could x-ray his shoulder or perform any other necessary evaluations, but I won’t be able to cover the costs without your support. If the vet recommends euthanasia, we’ll proceed with that. However, if they suggest a lengthy rehabilitation, we’ll need a rescue to step in for him. I'm currently gathering a rough estimate for the expenses and will share that soon!

I genuinely wish I could save every horse, but it’s challenging when I’m caring for around 40 horses each week while also ensuring that Ella can pursue her equestrian dreams. I took Forest in so he wouldn’t suffer; even if it meant giving him a comfortable week with us before saying goodbye.

I only have the information that I have about Forrest. I don’t have much more than this, so please avoid overwhelming my inbox and comments with requests for what to do next or calls to the vet. Just to clarify, he isn’t mine, and I can’t afford extensive veterinary care for him. Don't tell me that this Amish needs to be turned in, they all have different beliefs and religions like the rest of us, and do things differently. So, if you can help Forrest, great! If not, just share his post! Let's find a better situation for him before Monday.

And now the heart wrenching part of the trip to pick up Jenny... her son, Forrest. 😭 In our opinion this yearling c**t needs to go to greener pastures that aren't earthside. If you watch his video, you will hear his story. He ran through barbed wire fencing while being weaned and absolutely destroyed his shoulder muscle. I am unsure if those back legs sre from compensating or if he has had struggles since birth. He has been living this way for about 7 months. For euthanasia and burial, we can get that done for $350. We are asking for any kind souls that would like to assist with this.

If there is someone out there that wants to take him to a specialty clinic to see if there is hope, I would be willing to habe that discussion, but the funds that it would take, I am sure will be huge.

Today we went and picked up this late teens Standardbred mare that we are calling Jenny. She is broke to drive, I assume that she will ride right off as well. She is a nice, stout built horse! When the weather presents itself, we will give that a try. This mare is only here until Monday the 18th, so I wanted to spread the word about her asap. She is sweet and gentle to handle, loaded well, led well, etc. Was told that there were 2 mares in the same pasture and 1 slipped her foal... not sure which...this means this mare could also be bred. $950.

She will be utd on coggins and vaccinations. 💉

Hauling available at $3.00 per loaded mile. 🛻

This is the post several of you have been waiting for!!! 💙🐴❤️A variety of horses are here on consignment. There is a performance horse auction coming up on June 13th. Whatever we do not sell before then will be going to that auction. So, let's find them great homes by then. 🏡 Prices on these horses will vary from $1500 to $7500. We have projects right on up to great family horses. Quarter horses, a draft pony, a thoroughbred, and a percheron are a few of the available guys and gals! 🐎

📸 I will try to have photos of all consignment horses available by Friday afternoon.

I will have one Amish horse available on Thursday morning and will post pictures by Thursday afternoon with our evaluation. So far, all that I know is that it is a Standardbred mare. I am only being given until Monday, May 18th to place her though. 😭

💉All of these horses will be UTD on vaccinations and coggins.

Kay is a 20+ year-old Standardbred mare, previously used for Amish buggies. She stands around 14.2 hands tall. We did ride her while she was in our care, and she performed adequately. She has had her vet work completed, her teeth done, and farrier care provided. Although the hope was to give her a retirement home, she isn't ready to retire yet. The asking price is $500.
