Dear Riders and Visitors,

We are so happy to have you joining us this weekend at Bent Creek Farm!

While you’re here, please treat our home as yours. For your convenience:

- A porta potty will be available.
- Feel free to use the clubhouse on the south side of the driveway if you need a kitchen or a quiet, climate-controlled place to relax.
- Our wine and cheese tasting will take place overlooking the pond - if we’re lucky, you may get to see our brand new family of geese: two proud parents with three goslings.

Pets:

- Dogs are welcome on a leash. You may meet our friendly farm dog, Ripley. She loves people and dogs, but may try to steal your cheese!
- We have five rescue kitties. One of them, Smokey, is a vocal grey kitty with a permanent hind-end disability. Don’t be alarmed by his limp - he’s pain-free and loves tummy rubs, so feel free to indulge him!

Slaughter 2 Success Equine Rescue (S2S):

- They are fundraising to save another life in June. If you have tack to donate, we would be thrilled to accept it!
- Our tack sale will also be happening during the event. It’s a free-will donation sale for all items except saddles. Please check in with Andria if you are interested in a saddle.
- Be sure to meet our two resident ambassadors, mini ponies Berry and Boo!
- You’ll also meet Posh, a lovely horse currently available for adoption, as well as Penny, who survived a kill pen situation and now thrives with one eye. Penny shares a paddock with our black Lusitano gelding, Pajao (both love treats)!

Join us at Bent Creek Farm for a weekend centered on fun, learning, and confidence-building for riders and horses. These shows are designed to be welcoming, supportive, and encouraging, whether you’re stepping into the ring for the first time or coming back to sharpen your skills.

We’ll also be hosting fundraisers for S2S Equine Rescue, with opportunities to meet the rescue horses you help save and learn more about the work happening behind the scenes.

Come ride, learn, cheer each other on, and be part of a community that truly supports horses and humans alike. We can’t wait to see you there! 🐎✨

We’re so happy to have you joining us for the show! It’s shaping up to be a great day, and we’re so thankful for your participation and support.

To help keep things running smoothly and avoid any traffic bottlenecks, please read this important note about parking:

If you have a 3-horse trailer or smaller, we may need you to park in the south field.

I know it’s a little inconvenient, but proper parking makes a huge difference—when trailers get mixed up, it can become very difficult for people to pull in and out safely.

If you have a 4-horse or larger trailer, please park by the arena.

When you arrive, my son Andy will be directing parking. Please stop and check in with him for directions when you pull in so we can keep everything organized and flowing smoothly. I know he’s only 11, but he’s good at this job 😊

Thank you all for your cooperation and for helping make this a fun, safe, and well-organized show. We can’t wait to see you and your horses!

🎃 Welcome to the Bent Creek Farm Halloween Show! 🎃

We’re so excited to see everyone for a fun, festive, and safe day of riding! Please take a moment to review these important notes before the show:

🐴 Tentative Ride Times:
Ride times are tentative — please check the posted schedule the morning of the show for any small adjustments.

📝 Waiver Reminder:
Everyone must sign the waiver before mounting (even if you’ve signed before).

If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must sign for you.

🎭 Costume Parade:
Join us in the outdoor arena at 12:30 PM for the Parade of Costumes! We can’t wait to see your spooky, silly, and creative outfits — prizes for participation!

🍔 Lunch for a Cause:
We welcome everyone to enjoy lunch! All proceeds support S2S Equine Rescue, helping horses in need right here in Iowa.

🛍️ S2S Tack Shop:
Don’t forget to stop by the S2S Tack Shop to say hi to Penny and Posh — two of our rescue success stories! We have lots of blankets and winter gear available, just in time for the cold weather.

💚 Have Fun & Stay Safe:
Our top priority is that everyone has a fun and safe experience. If at any point you feel uncomfortable with a jump or want to drop down a level, that’s totally okay! Just find Andria, and we’ll make it happen — no stress, no judgment!
