🎃 HAPPY HALLOWEEN from the creatures who live in your house rent-free!

Tonight’s forecast:
👻 Your dog will report 73 suspicious visitors. All of them children.
🐈‍⬛ Your cat will knock something off a shelf and blame paranormal activity.
🦴 A treat will disappear under mysterious circumstances. The suspect will request another.
📸 You will take 46 costume photos. One will be usable. It will feature your thumb.

A few house rules for the haunting: keep candy out of paw’s reach, secure the front door against escape artists, and give pets a quiet retreat from the festivities. Costumes are optional—being adorable is already a full-time job. 🧡

Wishing you more treats than tricks and absolutely no veterinary plot twists! 🐾

🐾 GARFIELD IS HOME THANKS TO HIS MICROCHIP! ❤️

Garfield had quite the adventure when he wandered pretty far from home and somehow lost his collar along the way! His journey led him to the AT&T yard, where a kind Good Samaritan stepped in, safely caught him, and brought him to us to be checked out. 🐱

Thankfully, Garfield had a microchip! We contacted the microchip registry to get in touch with his family, but before we could even call his mama, she had already received an email letting her know he had been found! 🥹❤️

And just like that, a potentially scary situation turned into a happy reunion!

✨ Garfield’s story is a perfect reminder of why microchips matter! Collars can slip off, tags can get lost, and pets can wander farther than we ever expect. A microchip provides a permanent form of identification that can help bring your pet home when the unexpected happens.

We’re so thankful for the Good Samaritan who took the time to help Garfield and for the technology that helped reconnect him with his mama. Here’s to safe adventures and happy reunions! 🏡🐾

Is your pet’s microchip information up to date? It only takes a few minutes to check, and it could make all the difference! ❤️

👀 The Creature from Beneath the Bed
Two glowing eyes. One suspicious rustle. And a paw that reminds you your ankles are technically within reach. 🐈‍⬛

Before you call an exorcist, it’s probably just your cat enjoying some privacy.

Why do cats hide under the bed?
🛏️ It feels safe. A sheltered spot lets them stay tucked away while keeping an eye on what’s happening.
💤 They want uninterrupted rest. Apparently, “just one more forehead kiss” is not part of their nap schedule.
🙀 Something feels overwhelming. Visitors, loud noises, new pets or changes at home can send them seeking a quieter space.
🩺 They may not feel well. Pain or illness can also cause cats to hide, especially if it’s a new habit or they’re hiding more than usual.

Give your cat comfortable hiding spots and let them emerge on their own terms. If their hiding habits change—or you notice changes in eating, energy or litter box use—contact us.

Respect the tiny tenant beneath your bed. But keep tabs on them, too. 🖤

🐾🎨 Day 5: Shrinking Our Way to the Finish Line! 🔑💖

We wrapped up our Staff Appreciation Week with one last craft: personalized pet Shrinky Dink keychains! 🐶🐱 Our team traced, colored, and shrunk their favorite furry faces into tiny keepsakes they can take wherever they go. How cute is that?! 🥹❤️

❤️ Today's craft was also a great way to decompress after a rough day yesterday, giving everyone a little time to relax, create, and recharge together. 💕

A huge THANK YOU to IDEXX for sponsoring today's lunch and helping us finish the week on a high note! 🍽️🙌 (Yesterday was sponsored by Patterson--Finally had time to figure that out!)

This week has been all about Crafting Through the Chaos, but the real masterpiece is the incredible team behind Gause Boulevard Veterinary Hospital. From caring for our patients to supporting one another through the busiest and most challenging days, our staff makes this hospital special. 💕🐾

Thank you to our amazing team for everything you do, and thank you to all of our sponsors who helped make this week extra special! We appreciate you more than words (or crafts!) can say. 🥰

🎨💖 Day 4 of Staff Appreciation Week: Crafting Through the Chaos! 💖🎨

Today's craft was personalized tumblers, and let's just say… the CHAOS part of our theme really showed up! 😂🥤 We had one HECK of a day, and most of our team didn't have a chance to finish their creations.

But honestly, today was a perfect reminder of why we appreciate our support staff so much. ❤️

While some tumblers were left unfinished, our team was busy doing what they do best: showing up for our patients when they needed us most. Several of our incredible team members stayed at the clinic until MIDNIGHT caring for a critical patient. 🐾❤️

Crafts can wait. Tumblers can be finished another day. But when a patient needs us, this team steps up without hesitation. That kind of dedication, compassion, and teamwork is what makes our GBVH family so special.

We are beyond grateful for the amazing people who pour their hearts into our patients, our clients, and each other even when it means putting their own plans (and their craft projects!) on hold.

Lunch was again sponsored today. But, to be honest, most of us do not know by who, as we never had a chance to taste it.

The tumblers may not be finished, but our hearts are FULL. 🥹💗

🌸🎨 Day 3 of Staff Appreciation Week: Blooming Through the Chaos! 🌸💐

Today’s crafting adventure had us rolling, twisting, shaping, and questioning our artistic abilities as we created our own Play-Doh flower bouquets! 🌷 What looked like a simple craft turned out to be a little trickier than expected! 😂 Let’s just say we may be better at caring for pets than creating perfect petals, but we had a blooming good time trying! 🌼🤪

🍩 The day started sweetly with donuts provided by our very own staff members, who went above and beyond by treating their coworkers to handmade gifts, too! ❤️ Those thoughtful gestures are a beautiful reminder that the heart of GBVH is the amazing people who show up for one another every day.

🥖 Lunch was a treat as well! A huge thank-you to Purina for providing delicious po'boys to keep our team fueled through all the crafting chaos! 💙

Our theme, “Crafting Through the Chaos,” couldn't be more fitting. Between the creative challenges, the laughter, the sweet treats, and the thoughtful surprises, we're reminded that it's not about making a perfect bouquet—it's about making memories with an incredible team! 🌸🐾
