Good Morning, Everyone!

Yep, this is sweet Sugar on your screen today.

Ten-year-old Sugar had been greatly loved and nurtured all of her life until her mom entered Memory Care.

She's a sweet gentle-hearted dog whose spirit leaps with happiness, and she enjoys quiet afternoons curled up in a favorite spot.

Sugar shares a cooperative spirit as a patient car companion and promises to not offer her opinions. She savors neighborhood strolls, and will help you notice new sights because she loves to stop and sniff.

Though she's friendly with other canines, she wishes to be someone's only canine cuddler where she would be her best self.

Who is Alecia to Dalton, our gentle-hearted hearing and visually-impaired sanctuary dog?

She's his sunshine on the cold crisp mornings.

His comfort when some nights may feel too dark.

She's a loving friend and dedicated caregiver who always listens and gives extra snuggles.

Everyone needs an Alecia in their lives.

National Rescue Dog Day!

We know for many of our followers and friends that you are very aware of the need for strays, rescues in shelters and surrendered dogs to be adopted into good homes where they'll experience beautiful second chances.

You've experienced and understand that rescue dogs show such resiliency in overcoming past or recent challenges.

This is a huge thank you for continually supporting our rescue efforts for these precious animals.

Hey, buddy, we're sorry you're not feeling well.

Over the weekend, we noticed Jerry quite listless which in a happily energetic dog is very concerning.

After some investigation and time in the emergency room, we discovered he had accidentally ingested a foreign object, the ear of a favorite toy. Oh, Jerry, you poor sweet guy.

We know how an enjoyable experience can change quickly.

We transported Jerry to
MarQueen Veterinary Hospital in Roseville. On Monday evening,
Dr. Walsh, an exceptional surgeon, accompanied by his incredible team, performed surgery.

Currently, Jerry is in the hospital and will return to his foster home soon. Ben, his best canine buddy, will sniff, circle and sniff again in great excitement.

Get well soon to our sweet canine friend. We send you our love and hugs.

Did you know our rescue is very blessed with great talent?

Some of our volunteers donate hours during the year creating beautiful gifts and items for your home and pets. On the weekends, they pack their cars then set up displays at local and out-of-town craft fairs and events, like the Orangevale Fair last weekend.

With their happy paws and loving hearts, Ben (left) and Jerry share their charming spirits with one another and their foster family.

Their boundless energy on walks leads them to new experiences though their leash skills need improving.

They both love people and are good buds with other canines. Their love for one another is unending, and they're waiting, probably with excitement, to share their unconditional love with their forever family.
