Fox-Bell Farm & Training is a new training service being offered in Sequim, Port Angeles, and across the Olympic Peninsula that has relocated from Bainbridge Island. "FBF" teaches and trains Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation horses and riders for all levels and ages as well as offering colt starts and work with "problem horses". Fox-Bell Farm and Training offers:
-Private and group lessons
-Pony ri

des
-Competition schooling and coaching
-Horse training for green horses to advanced show jumpers
-Full training for horses
-Lesson horses are available or you can haul in your own horse(s)
-Temporary stalls available for multiple horse haul-in's
-Boarding
-And more! Shelby Vaughan, Fox-Bell's trainer, has worked with many Olympian's and internationally recognized riders. She has also ridden and won in horse show classes such as Mini Grand Prix's, Grand Prix's, National Hunter Derbies, Maclay, and Good Seat and Hands along with riding with gold medalist Olympian, Melanie Smith Taylor, after being selected as one of the few riders to participate in the Emerging Athletes Program. Shelby also is very involved with rescue horses and training rescued equines. All of Shelby's personal horses have been rescued and trained by her to be successful in many areas of show jumping. Shelby's rescue farm (Blakely Hill Farm) is currently located in Sequim and on Bainbridge Island but is fully relocating soon to the Olympic Peninsula for more acreage to rescue, rehabilitate, and train more horses. Colton and Pearl sharing a moment….

Pearl was a recent rescue from Bellingham, WA. She belonged to an elderly gentleman whose health was failing.

She lived in a dirty stall for a long time without handling or care.

She and another horse had gotten loose and picked up by the local Human Society.

Our good friend, Janie, help facilitate moving Pearl to Fox-Bell Humane Society to give her a fresh start in life!

She is scared, but improving each day!

The estate even found her papers, she is a purebred Welsh Pony!

A WONDERFUL day of rescue horses and rescue dogs!! 🐕 🐎

14 of our Fox-Bell rescue horses showed today over jumps, and I am so proud! 🥹 beautiful rounds by each horse/rider pair….

We had an extremely successful first “meet-and-greet” with a newly rescued litter of Huskey/Lab pups from Neah Bay. These pups stole the show!!!

We also had wonderful shopping from Western Wanderer Boutique! Thank you Carolee for making our event extra fun! 🤩

And of course… HUGE thank you to Meghan of Two Red Dogs Photography for making the trip to FBF to shoot each rider! The photos truly make this event so special 📸

🐶 BREAKING NEWS 🗞️ ‼️

Fox-Bell Humane Society and Animal Control have a big rescue UNDERWAY!

We saved EIGHT PUPPIES, Momma Dog, and a very sad and hungry Shepherd.

These dogs needed emergency care and shelter. This team effort saved their lives!

The Momma and Babies are safe at a FBHS foster home, and the Shepherd will be staying at our Barr Road location for further evaluation…

PUPPIES NEED HOMES!! Please contact Shelby (206-399-7683) or Martha (206-954-1667) to meet these beautiful babes!

Can you help?? We were able to send a bunch of donated food and supplies, but we need more!

We need:
Food
Beds
Toys
Bully sticks
Leashes and collars
And $$ donations to cover vet costs (all puppies got their shots today), but each one will need spay/neuter and more!
