I mentioned on this page that 3DPH had taken on a project.
This 26 year old APHA mare in the pics is Dolly.
She has lived with her sister here at the barn for many years (most of her life!)
Her sister was PTS a few months ago.
Dolly was not in our program at the time.
I kept an eye on her after she lost her sister.
Dolly seemed fine.
Although when I went in her paddock she was glued to me.
Dolly wants a person of her own.
We spoke to the owner and offered to get her back riding (she hadnt been ridden for years) and hopefully get her a good home, pro bono.
She loves going out and riding around the ranch.
Isn’t thrilled about working in the arena.
Hasn’t spooked at anything at all.
We have put her on senior feed in addition to the hay the ranch feeds.
