Stop by our next Pet Wellness Clinic in Grover Beach on Thursday, August 14, at 16th Street Park (S. 16th Street and Mentone Ave). Walk-in hours are 10am to 1pm for low-cost rabies and other vaccines, microchips, flea treatment, dewormer and nail trims for cats and dogs. Families from surrounding cities are welcome to attend. Pets must be on leash or in carriers. Affordable spays/neuters and medical care by prior appointment. In response to the growing number of families forced to choose between personal safety and the welfare of their beloved pets, we are fundraising to establish an anonymous boarding facility on California’s Central Coast. C.A.R.E.4Paws' Pet Refuge will provide a safe, free and confidential space for pets of Santa Barbara County and San Luis Obispo County individuals and families navigating crises, such as escape from domestic violence, deportation and displacement due to fires and other disasters. Found as a stray with a curiously bendy front leg, Sam the Siamese was living life on the streets until a kind-hearted friend (and foster mom!) with the Animals In Need Fund Program saw his potential...and swooped in to help him find his forever home. 💙

Now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and living his best foster life with some feline roommates, Sam is strutting through life on his very unique leg. He is also always ready for a fist-bump! 😉 The old, healed fracture gives him character, not trouble, and since he uses it just fine, it's here to stay!
