Give me your best guesses!! No wrong answers just educated estimates. I think teeth are so cool and it is crazy how much you can tell about a horse by looking at a tooth! 🤗🦷🐎🏔️🩺

hi guys! i’m alive and back from italia! i had such a great time but am happy to be back to my patients, my lil family and my daily routine. here’s my update! how are y’all doing? 🏔️🐎🩺✨

I just got back from a week and a half trip to Italy where I had the privilege of visiting all the way from Venice to Positano. I am so thankful that I have a team who can cover for me when I decide to take time off, though it doesn’t stop me from having the random intrusive thoughts: “did that patient get better?”, “I wonder how they’re doing on the new dose of medication.” etc. We as doctors truly have to learn how to compartmentalize our own empathy, anxiety and emotions regarding our cases on a daily basis, but it is even more important to do so during your time off. Learn to rest and reset, so you can come back an even stronger and better doctor. Do not lose yourself in your career. Remember what makes you shine and embrace your sparkle. ✨🐎🩺🏔️🍋🇮🇹

CareCredit I am partnering with CareCredit to share a payment option that helps bridge the gap between what our patients need and what a client’s monthly budget allows. The CareCredit credit card offers flexible financing options that allow horse owners to break down the cost of care into manageable monthly payments. The best part? Your practice gets paid upfront, and your clients get the breathing room they need to make clinical decisions without the immediate financial panic. Give your clients (and your practice) some peace of mind. Tap the link in my bio to learn how CareCredit can fit into your daily workflow. Subject to credit approval. See carecredit.com for more details. 🐎 🩺 💸

Very thankful to have a position and mentors that have allowed me to continue to develop my surgical skills. Recently I had the pleasure of performing a castration & hernia repair on a bilateral cryptorchid stud (both inguinal, one dropped after anesthesia)! 🐎🩺🏔️

“Flip” is one of my darling 27yo retired geldings who gets dental exams semi-annually to check on how he is doing. At the beginning of this year we found two teeth that were diseased and ready to come out. This week we found another. These extractions are important to continue to allow him to masticate appropriately and reduce the risk of choke and impactions. Not only that, but taking these teeth out will immediately reduce the pain and irritation this tooth has been causing him. 💙🏔️🐎🩺💉🦷

Draft Horse Pulls at the Utah State Fair! This was my first time attending an event like this and I had so much fun! It was phenomenal watching these fantastically strong horses pull unimaginable weights behind them! These two won the show, pulling a total of 9000lbs! Gives you a true respect for how this world was built. Draft horses are tested for drugs such as testosterone that can be of unfair advantage to them in these competitions. 💉🩸🏔️🐎🩺
