Recycled Pets NorCal RPNC is a volunteer run non-profit animal rescue group in Sacramento, CA. We do NOT have a shelter, and our dogs are placed in loving foster homes.

We only adopt out within the Sacramento Area. Find our website at: recycledpetsnorcal.org We only adopt to families within the Sacramento Region. We NEVER transport dogs because we make commitments to the dogs for life. We want to make sure, in as much as possible, that they do not end up back in shelters or homeless again. You can meet our animals at our adoption events, out side of those we REQU

IRE an application be filled out prior to meeting our dogs one-on-one (done as a home check). We do NOT adopt on a first come first serve basis, we want to make sure our dogs find the perfect family that suits their needs. If you are not selected for the dog you asked for, we may be able to help you find the right dog for you, your family, and your lifestyle.

I'm on my first big vacation in 5 years. Luckily, all the fosters are well taken care of. Ginger is spending some days in different places and impressing people with how long her tongue is. She liked fetch and playing in water! This energetic and needy girl has been looking for a home for over a year. Hopeful someone soon will say they want her and all her energy.

Desperately seeking a Retirement Home for a Loyal Senior Boy

This sweet 15-year-old Chihuahua mix is looking for a soft place to land for his golden years. Originally adopted from Bradshaw Animal Shelter in 2018, he has been deeply loved ever since. His human is going through an incredibly difficult time, currently without stable housing and trying to navigate life with children and being unhoused. Unfortunately, many temporary living options won’t allow dogs—especially ones who aren’t cat-friendly—so with a heavy heart, she’s making the heartbreaking decision to rehome him.

This little guy has so much life and love left to give. He enjoys cozy naps, gentle walks, and simply being near his people. He’s been up to date on vaccines and Bravecto but is in need of a dental cleaning (his last was in 2021), and he has some chronic dental issues and brittle nails that may require some attention from a vet. His medical and adoption records are available.

He is truly a cherished companion—more family than pet—and his mom is hoping to find someone who will love him just as much as she has. If you have a quiet, cat-free home and a heart big enough to help a senior pup finish his life surrounded by love, please reach out.

While I am out walking in the morning, the dogs are unsupervised. Adopt a Ginger or an Aggie would you? They are both super sweet but have a proclivity for trouble.

Yes, he sometimes barks at absolutely nothing… but honestly, who doesn’t? 🤷‍♀️ What he lacks in logic, he more than makes up for in love—Aggie is hands down the BEST snuggler on the planet. Total Velcro dog vibes. 💕

At just 7 months old and 27 pounds, Aggie is still growing into his big personality. He’s great with other dogs, crate trained, playful, sweet, and always down for a nap right next to you.

Working with teenagers is fun. With so many dogs in the house, getting them out for one on one can be difficult. Aggie is a jumper by nature so learning butt down has been hard for him. He is lucky he is also super cute and snuggly!
