Since 1993, Happy Tails has helped close to 20,000 animals – including rescue and placement of domestic cats and dogs, trap/spay/neuter of feral cats, assisting our community and encouraging responsible treatment of animals. In addition, an even higher number of unwanted animal births were prevented, making a major contribution in the reduction of the local cat and dog over population problem.

Hello up there! Are you looking for a forever furriend ??? Come in this weekend to meet our kitties! We've got kittens, adult cats, and senior cats in all shapes, colors, and sizes. They are waiting to meet you. 🤩

If you can't adopt right now, you are welcome to come in and just play with them and/or pet them. They LOVE getting attention from all the humans. It helps them become more sociable and adoptable as well. We're open Saturday, 12pm - 3pm and Sunday, 12pm - 6pm. See you soon!! 🐾

Hello again from Cherry!! She was adopted back in 2013 when she was just a 9-month-old kitten, and she is still thriving in her same loving home after all these years! 🥳 Here she is soaking up the rays on her platform in the sun. She looks quite content!! We couldn't be happier to see and hear this update. Congrats, Cherry! We hope you and your owners get to spend many more years together! 😻

Happy TWOS-day from these adopted pairs this past weekend! 🥳 Congratulations to Brie & Roisin, Ziggy & Jenny, and Rowan & Tumbleweed on finding loving homes with your besties!! Ziggy & Jenny were bonded (required to be adopted together) and inseparable, but the other two pairs were just roommates in the kitten room. Kittens love having a familiar furry friend to run around and wreak havoc with as well snuggle up with and groom each other. It's good for kittens to learn to get a long with other animals, so they grow up to be sociable and friendly. A buddy helps them learn, play, burn energy, and feel safe. Double the love, double the fun! (Double the trouble! 😹) We've said it before, but we'll say it again; Two cats are better than one!! We hope you're having a great time settling into your new home with your buddy, furriends! Wishing you all the best. 😻😻

Happy Twos-day from Boz (right) and his new best buddy, Maggie (also from Happy Tails!). It took a bout 3 weeks for Maggie to accept him, but now they get along really well. The adopter says, "I’ve had a couple of extra special cats in my days, and Boz is right up there with the most loving, most interesting, and most interactive." We love to hear this! Say hello again to Amelia, now named Anya. 😻 She was adopted in May and is loving her new windowsill life. The adopters say, "She has been a delight to have in our home! From day one, she has been very outgoing and curious. Anya loves to play, watch her cat tv by the window, and belly rubs! She has become more confident around the house and very affectionate to our family members. She is the best sweetheart we could ever ask for. One of the hardest parts about fostering is saying goodbye to your short-term children at the end of their time with you. As we always say in animal rescue "goodbye is the goal." However, sometimes you just can't and that is okay, too! You have not "failed" as a foster, you have won the jackpot! It's a foster WIN!! 🥳

Here we have Pickles & Boots, now named Ella & Louie, who first came to us as bottle babies with two other littermates. They were in two foster homes while being weaned and getting ready for adoption, and they just needed another foster for one more week while Pickles recovered from an illness. But before the week was even up, the foster decided to keep them forever! 🥳 They look very comfy and content in their foster/forever home. They settled right in, and they have each other for lifelong support. We're so happy for these babies! Congratulations, Ella Pickles & Louie Boots!! And congrats on your win, foster #3! 😻😻

Have you heard the wonderful news?!?! Our sweet, senior boy Tofutti was adopted last weekend! This 12-year-old lynx point Siamese first came to us in 2018. He had a lovely adoption experience with his previous owner, but unfortunately, she could no longer care for him and made the difficult decision to surrender him to us in March. She was sad to do so and came to visit him weekly to check on him and brush him to his heart's content. 🥰

We were monitoring his health for a little while to make sure he was ready for another loving home, and that was confirmed. He's so sweet, we knew he was just waiting for the right person. She came in with her family last weekend and she, her daughter, and her granddaughter all fell in love with him and promised to take care of him for the rest of his life!! We are so very happy for him. We hope you're doing well in your new home, Tofutti Cutie. We love you!!!! 😻

Thank you to all the volunteers who have been loving up on him for the past five months! And to the very generous volunteer who sponsored his adoption. You are all a part of his wonderful success story. 🥳

We are pleased to report that these beautiful kittens and one amazing senior cat found loving homes last weekend. Congratulations to Doechii, Toffutti, Pepper, Freddy, Nom Nom, Tange, and siblings adopted together Kit & Chug! We're so happy for all of you and wish you a great life! 🥳

Thank you to our kitten fosters and adoption counselor volunteers for making this all possible! We appreciate your love for our kitties so much. 🤩
