OVER $1.2 MILLION RAISED! 💙🎉 This is the number we were honored to share at tonight’s Board of Supervisors meeting alongside our amazing team and supporters.
💙 : We are so grateful to each of you!
💙 : Our village helped get us to where we are today!
💙 : We summarized our journey including the original start of how Jeannie and Katie attended a budget Board of Supervisors meeting, quite similar to the one we presented at tonight. This was before we even had a name, a plan, a logo, 501c3 status, or the dream to raise a million dollars. Just two citizens who loved their community and wanted to help.
Will we still need local support and donations? Absolutely. The shelter hasn’t broken ground yet and the more money donated, the better a facility it will be. But, for tonight … we will celebrate and feel gratitude to how far we have come and what we all have accomplished together.
We will feel thankful for the Board that went from $800,000 when we first met with them to the now $2.5 million set aside. We will feel excited for our community helping BARCC raise over $1.2 million dollars! Thank you for supporting us. This animal shelter will be built off of different sized donations, none too small. Tonight was filled with many emotions as we presented. From a trip down memory lane, to laughter, to tears, to cheers. While we were missing a huge part of our team (and heart), we know that:
