Update Friday (5/22) @ 9:09 a.m. – With the rain, there will be no prepicked strawberries today. If you’re willing to brave the elements, the PYO is open until 5:30 today; just be cognizant of how the weather is looking throughout the day.

Update for Friday (5/22) – The PYO strawberry patch will open at 8 a.m. Friday. We’re on the slower end of the season now, and the easy picking days are behind us, but there are still berries out there for those willing to look! Expect smaller berries, usually tucked under the leaves, excellent sweetness, and some mud in places from the rain. Prepicked availability is uncertain and will depend on the weather and other variables; any we have will be available in the Farm Store, first come, first-served.

Update Saturday (5/16) @ 1:19 p.m. – Reminder, the PYO and the Farm Store do close at 2 p.m. today.

Update Saturday (5/16) @ 11:28 a.m. – A lot of pickers in the patch... Dad just came in from doing some scouting and it sounds like picking is getting a bit more challenging and scattered. PYO will stay open until 2 p.m., but just know what you're getting into :). We do have some prepicked still as well...

Update for Saturday (5/16) – We'll open at 8 a.m. and plan to close the PYO and Farm Store at 2 p.m. Looks like a fair bit of ripening happened today! The PYO picking will be quite good, especially early. Hoping the patch will hold out until 2 p.m. We'll update the home page of the website if anything changes throughout the morning! Do make sure to look under the leaves; lots of berries get missed under there. These later-season berries aren't as big as their early-season brothers, but they are incredibly delicious! Not sure yet how prepicked will go, but we’ll likely have some quarts off and on as we can. They’ll be first-come, first-served, and we’re not taking any more orders for this week. 💐 - Lots of beautiful flower arrangements in the Farm Store!

Update Saturday (5/9) @ 12:22 p.m. - We plan to stay open until 2 pm as scheduled for both PYO and Farm Store, but the PYO is quite difficult at this point, so we recommend waiting till next week if you can. Still trying to keep quarts of prepicked on the table, but not sure how long we'll be able to do that.

Update Saturday (5/9) @ 10:41 a.m. - Picking is definitely getting more difficult... please remember to move the leaves and look in the plants! We're not closing the PYO yet, but if it works for you to come another day, I'd probably recommend that.

Update Saturday (5/9) @ 10:18 a.m. - Lot of people out here right now... PYO picking will likely become more scattered.

Update Saturday (5/9) @ 6:56 a.m. - We plan to be open from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. today for both PYO Strawberries and the Farm Store. Update Thursday 5/7 @ 8:09 a.m. - We got some rain overnight, so there will be some muddy/slippery spots in the patch today. Ripening has been slower this week with cooler temps again. Update Saturday 5/2 @ 11:17 a.m. - The PYO patch has had a lot of traffic this morning. We're going to need to close PYO early today, right now we are planning on closing it at 2 p.m. - we may need to bump that up if things don't slow down, but we will update here if we need to make that call. We do have a great supply of pre-picked berries in the Farm Store! We don't usually take orders for strawberries on Saturdays, but I could take some for pickup this afternoon - just email [email protected] - The Farm Store will stay open till 4 p.m.

Update Saturday 5/2 @ 10:04 a.m. - A lot of beautiful berries are coming out of the PYO fields this morning! Picking still seems to be holding for now. :) Decent amount of pre-picked on the Farm Store table right now, first-come, first-served... Good evening friends... here is your update for Saturday, 4/25!

For Saturday, the PYO strawberries and Farm Store will open at 8 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. We'll have pre-picked strawberries in the store by mid-morning, first-come, first-served (no orders for now).

PYO check-in may be in the Farm Store or in the shack at the bottom of the greenhouse, depending on staffing 🙂

Picking will be good, but if you're thinking of coming late morning or later, it's a good idea to check the "Currently at the Farm" area on the home page of the website before coming out: https://yodersfarm.com/

The schedule we're currently planning for next week is as follows:

🍓🍓🍓 - Update on the strawberries! We covered the plants last night for what is hopefully the last frost/freeze protection. The PYO patch isn't quite ready for picking yet. The plants are starting to produce, so we may need to open and close some along the way until we get into full production, but we plan to be open Thursday (4/23) for PYO from 10–5:30. Depending on how Thursday goes, we may add some hours Friday or Saturday as well. The best place to keep up with PYO hours is the "Currently at the Farm" area on the home page of the website.
