Remembering Carly
Carly came into our lives from a neighboring facility along with a litter in 2012. Carly didn't like leashes, took years to overcome timidness, always a bit quirky, and loved her pack here at Harmony. She overcame several health scares over recent years. Carly finally showed us she was ready to be with her old friends. Thank you Carly for being a part of the Harmony family and giving us loads of memories to cherish.

Small Miracles.....
Well, Savannah made it to the doggy slumber room (my office). We set up a little pen area for her so she could get use to the other five dogs and our routine. It has only been 48 hours and she loves her space and walking with the leash. So far no issues with cats or various sizes of dogs. When we are done walking outside, she will race back into the house, trying out all the beds (like goldilocks), and sitting by her space waiting for me (or maybe it is the treats). It always amazes me how dogs transform when they feel safe and homey.

Love progress!
Savannah Rose is starting to walk around on the grass; with guidance and a lift from inside to outside. today, she met Calli and just had to make sure to p*e on top of Calli's. It's a good day so far!

Oh Savannah.....
Well, we worked on getting a collar on without any drama. However, the harness was a different story. She allowed us to get it on her but then froze. We tried treats...nope, not having it. Okay, so we pivoted and worked on picking her up, cuddling her, lots of rub downs. With the new week, we will try the harness again.

How is Savannah Rose doing?
We are fostering this little cutie for FOAC-CC since she was found as a stray last week.

Savannah Rose is/was very cautious. We were going to introduce her to our house kids but knew she needed extra time to decompress in our porch suite where she can go in and out on her time. Day 1 - very shy but allowed Kathy to pick her up. Day 2 - She is grateful for the food, bed and "harmony". she is house trained. Day 3-5 - Savannah loves to play, lets us pet and cuddle with her on her level, treats are fantastic, and she is yearning to see the other little dogs here. Still a tiny bit apprehensive so we need to keep working on the trust.

FOUND:
Two lab type dogs on Browns Mill and Field Dale. A very kind neighbor has them contained in a fenced in area for now. Are you missing these dogs or do you know who they belong to?
