Welcome "Patches"
Patches is a beautiful elder cat at 15+ years who needed a "harmonizing environment" to live her life out at. Her owner was not able to keep her due to health. Patches is already making friends with the other elder cats at Harmony and enjoying her personal suite.

Two of our favorite felines have moved on...
This doesn't get any easier so I will focus on the fact that we were able to care for these two brothers during the latter part of their lives. Their owner was ill; they were ill. They were angels, sweet as can be, calm and gentle spirits. I think we needed each other. I am grateful to have been a part of their lives and for the joy they illuminated out to everyone and all critters here at Harmony.

Fundraiser for the Elders:
Looks like the weather will be decent May 1st (Friday) and 2nd (Saturday) for us at the 100 Mile Yard Sale. We will be two houses past the rescue on Browns Mill Rd. (easy off/on from Rt 29)

Come check out a variety of items such as, collectibles, music, vintage jewelry, furniture, sports stuff, vintage silver plated stuff, birdhouses, and households things.

UPDATE: Adopted today 3/30/26!

Buddy is patient and still waiting for a family to call his own. Buddy is a 3 yr old super friendly playful cuddle bug. He enjoys hanging around other cats and can keep himself entertained with toys. If you are interested in Buddy, fill out an application with FOAC-CC

Cora is looking for a home....
Cora (our FOAC foster cat) is still looking for a family of her own. She is very sweet, loves to cuddle, and gets along with other cats. Cora is 10 yrs old and deaf. A family that loves the laid back kind of cat would be best.

Buddy needs a home....
Buddy (our FOAC foster cat) is still looking for a family of his own. He is such a good boy overall! Buddy is kind to other cats, loves to be cuddled, and boy does he love to play with toys. At three years old, this gentleman is the perfect companion and addition to your family.

As the winter storms and colder weather approach us in Central Virginia, we need to do all we can to protect our animal friends too! First and foremost, bring your pets inside PLEASE! Even animals that love the cold should not be exposed for long periods of time.
