💚 HOME SWEET HOME!! 🐿️

I’m finally home!! I cannot even begin to tell you how good it feels to be back with everyone. I definitely missed all my people and, of course, all my little furry faces!! ❤️

Recovery is still going to take some time, and I’m going to have to remember to take things slow (which might be harder than the surgery itself 😂), but being home and back where I belong makes my heart happy.

Thank you to everyone who has checked on me, sent prayers, well wishes, and so much love. It truly means the world to me!

And a HUGE thank you to my husband and daughter for stepping up, keeping things going, and making sure the gliders were taken care of while I was away.

Rescue doesn’t stop just because I have to slow down for a little while, and I’m so grateful to have a family who helps make that possible.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some very important furry faces to catch up on! 🐿️💚

🎄 CHRISTMAS TREE PSA for Sugar Glider Owners! 🎄

🎃 Well, Halloween JUST got over, and some of y’all are already decking the halls, putting up Christmas trees, and bringing out the Christmas decorations! 🤣🤣

Apparently, some people like to decorate for Christmas WAAAYYYY TOO EARLY!!! 😂

So, since I know those trees are already going up in some households, I figured it was time to share this important Christmas Tree PSA before anyone lets their sugar gliders get a little too curious about the holiday decorations!

Pine trees may smell amazing… but they’re toxic for sugar gliders. The phenols in pine needles and sap are lung irritants, and gliders should not be in the same room as a real pine tree—definitely no playtime on it either.

Long enough exposure can lead to lung, kidney, and liver damage, and in severe cases, even sepsis.

🌲 Safer (but still not ideal!) Options:

Noble Fir, Douglas Fir, and Blue Spruce are not toxic. BUT their sap and needles can still irritate your glider’s skin—so they’re still not safe for climbing or exploring.

🎄 Fake Trees:

Totally fine! Just remember… if your gliders get on it, they will p*e on it. And let’s be honest… nothing kills the Christmas vibe faster than Eau de Sugar Glider P*e! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

💀🌼 DÍA DE LOS MU***OS – DAY OF THE DEAD 🌼💀

Today, we celebrate Día de los Mu***os, a beautiful Mexican tradition honoring and remembering loved ones who have passed away. ❤️

It is a time to celebrate their lives, remember the memories we shared, and keep their spirits alive through stories, photographs, favorite foods, flowers, and traditions.

The colorful marigolds, candles, sugar skulls, and ofrendas (altars) are reminders that love doesn’t end when someone is gone. Those we love may no longer walk beside us, but they will always live in our hearts. 🌼🕯️

Today, we remember, we celebrate, and we honor those who came before us.

No one is truly gone as long as they are remembered. ❤️

Today’s count: 28 GLIDERS! 😳😂
Moca & Mello were adopted!! Rafikki & Kelly went to a foster home!!

Eleventh is Pepper!! He is looking 👀 for a friend and can be neutered for a furever 🏡!!!

That includes both my personal gliders AND all of our sanctuary/rescue gliders. Every Sunday, everyone gets a little routine check-in—nails trimmed, weights recorded, and a good look-over to make sure I’m not missing anything that could become a problem.

And because I know everyone loves seeing the rescue babies, I’ll be posting videos as I work my way through them! ❤️

Twenty-eight little bodies means A LOT of nails, scales, food, medical care, and supplies—and keeping everyone healthy takes a village. 🥰
