We had a surprise visitor yesterday. Charlie came by the house with Camp. Camp was a puppy from our last litter with Gus, and Zeva. He went home with Charlie, and Kelly just before Christmas at 7 weeks old. He is almost 6 months old now, and has been to training school. This was a play date so to speak. We had to put Gus in the kennel because Zeva is starting to come into her heat cycle for her last litter mid summer. We don’t want 2 males together with a female about to come into heat. Yes that is Gus barking….Camp is a beautiful dog as you can see. He is very well behaved, and had a big time playing with his mother Zeva, and grandmother Maggie.

Bad News Lena Is NOT Pregnant. We took Lena to the vet yesterday to have an ultrasound, and the vet said NO PUPPIES!! This would have been Lena’s first litter. She would not let Gus mount her so we took them in to have her artificially inseminated with Gus. (This is what we have had to do with Zeva, and Gus). I believe we may have waited to long to take her in. I have some health issues, and we just waited too long. I am very sorry. If you have a deposit with us we will refund your money. OR….. Good news Zeva is getting ready to come into season. If you have a deposit with us we can move your deposit to a GUS/Zeva Litter. The litter would be a mid-summer litter not a late spring litter. I am very sorry about this situation. This troubles me very much. It has never happened before. Please call me to discuss options. 512-632-4624 Thank you!!

Below is a good explanation in the difference between an American Lab, and an English Lab. Gus, Maggie, and Lena are English Labs, and Zeva is ½ English, and 1/2 American Lab! Lena is pregnant now and due to deliver April 9th. We have decided to breed Zeva one more time. She is only 5 years old. She is due to come into season in the next month and a half. Madison, and Frank put down a deposit on our next litter with Gus, and Lena. They wanted to come out to meet Gus, and Lena, and the rest of our crew. We visited on the patio with the gate closed for a while, and then they wanted to go into the back yard to play with the dogs. Frank played fetch with Maggie, and Gus while Madison sat on the ground and got a close up visit with each dog. Gus fell in love with Madison, and fell asleep in her lap. It was a fun visit, and they are great folks. Just the kind of dog owners I am looking for.

Good News Lena Just Started Her Heat Cycle. Our Next Litter Is Planned For Early Spring With Gus, and Lena: This will be Lena's first Litter. This is a video of a few good friends of mine that purchased a puppy from us a few weeks ago. They got the "Blue" collar puppy. He was one my favorite pups from the litter. He looks, and acts like his dad "Gus" Charlie named him "Po Campo" after the cook in Lonesome Dove. Thay call him "Camp". Charlie also owns "Deets" a black lab that is Camp's granddad. We used him for stud with our Maggie Mae several years ago. Our "Zeva" is the daughter of Deets, and Maggie Mae. Keep the blood line going!!! Deets is not in the video.

We just re-homed our 9 puppy litter a week ago. This video is 3 videos I spliced together into 1 video. The beginning of the video is me training a recent litter puppy to fetch. It ends with a video of a lady named Catherine who is a dog trainer/lab breeder/hunting guide from Comfort Texas. She guides quale hunts at Jushua Creek Ranch close to Sisterdale, Texas She uses our Gus for stud services for her labrador females. She used a few of her dogs to help find bodies during the recent Kerrville floods. Her dogs found 9 bodies. She received awards for her efforts. She brought her 7 dogs to our house to deliver our Lena back to us. She is an amazing lady!!

Time to say goodby. The first puppy was picked up today. Pinky (Pearl) is on her way to her new home. The owners are so excited. We fed the puppies breakfest this morning, and they played, and had a grand ole time. The customer arrived at 10.30, and I had to say goodby to this sweet little girl. I know the new owners will take really good care of her.

Weather is Too Cold Today For A Picnic Outside. Turn On the Sound, Or Unmute. So the puppies must exercise inside the kennel, and the patio area. If you have a deposit with us you should get a good look at the puppy you will pick up next week. Yellow lost his collar...so he is the puppy without a collar.
