I’m not sure if anyone has noticed, but North Texas is growing. Road expansions here, housing additions there, beautiful fields are now housing additions, and there isn’t a safe tree in sight…. I love that my community is growing, but one thing not taken seriously in my opinion is preserving some of the beautiful areas, and unique features that this area offers.
Creeks that take you back in time are so filled with trash and nasty waste - to the point it’s hard to appreciate the rare gift it is to find shark teeth, fossils, and Native American artifacts - that just aren’t found very many places on earth.
Developing field after field of grassland and wildflowers that give life to our area - provide a home for plants and wildlife to flourish - and as a beekeeper as well - feed the pollinators that feed us and so create so many jobs - and…. Food.
Chopping or absolutely scalping trees that have been around and provided benefits longer than most people I know.
I know I can be a bit of a tree hugger but I just dont want to see such a spectacular place, filled with history, incredible amounts of diversity and abundance of wildlife, and a truly under appreciated beautiful part of the country - become just an extension of the metroplex.
I believe the wildlife here is to be respected and treated with compassion and love. Because sadly they are running out of places to live.
This is the exact reason I started this company. We may not want wildlife sharing our home with us but they should be dealt with in a loving manor.
If you, your business, or a loved one ever have problems with wildlife I hope we come top of mind to help you and also help our wildlife which is ever so important - and fading fast.
