Microchips are one of the most reliable ways to bring a lost pet home — but only if the contact information is current.

Check the Chip Day reminds us to ensure implanted chips are findable with the specialized scanner and to update our contact info in chip registries.

Moving? New phone number? Update immediately!

Contact us to verify your pet's chip is properly registered and current.

Late summer coats need attention! Regular brushing prevents matting, reduces shedding around the house, and helps you spot skin issues early.

For nervous pets, start slow with short sessions and lots of treats.

Remember that professional grooming isn't just about looks. It's about caring for the largest organ of the body — the skin!

What's your pet's reaction to brushing time?

Happy International Cat Day to our feline friends!

Today we celebrate the cats who somehow manage to look dignified while knocking things off counters, sleeping 16 hours a day, and demanding food at 4 AM.

From purr machines to independent spirits, cats bring their own special brand of love to our lives.

Today’s the day to become your pet’s photographer!

Tips from our team: get on their level, use natural light, capture their personality rather than forced poses, and have treats ready for attention. The best photos happen when they're just being themselves. Share your favorite pet photo attempts!

Summer brings unique eye challenges – dust, pollen, chlorine, and UV exposure can all irritate sensitive eyes.

Watch for excessive tearing, pawing at eyes, or squinting. Some pets benefit from protective eyewear during long outdoor adventures!

Red, swollen, or cloudy eyes need prompt veterinary attention. Schedule an exam if you've noticed changes! https://us.vetstoria.com/booking/667c585a66de4/?r=6

South Towne recently celebrated our annual summer party! It was a fun time had by all. There was an extra special focus on one of our longest term LVTs, Darryl, as we prepare to wish her well on her departure this coming August.
Special party guests included Dr. Powell (who opened South Towne over 50 years ago!) And Dr. Tompsett, who also owned the hospital for a period of time, prior to Dr. Gschrey.
