Dobbie found a new home!

Mist. It's not always dreary or gloomy. Writers and poets have often written beautiful words about mist. "If you ought to pass through a mist, first think of the ground, then of the sky."- Florin-Marian Hera, "Ten Loud Rocks." I am a handsome grey adult male kitty named Mist who came to Paws and Claws from a rescue partner. I am a sweet boy who prefers to keep a low profile, often choosing a spot where I can observe others. I tend to be hesitant around new people at first. I'll likely keep my distance until I feel comfortable, but when I feel safe, I may seek out attention and pets. I like routine and a peaceful, predictable environment, and I would love to find a home with a calm atmosphere and patient people who are able to give me time and space to feel at home.

I'm Angelica, a 4-year-old, tabby kitty who came to Paws and Claws from a rescue partner back in February! I may have been overlooked because it took me a while to settle in, and I'm not really a "lap cat." That doesn't mean I'm not a sweet, lovable girl. I am! I'm much more content now. I like being petted. Will you pet me? Guess what else I like! I like running water! I walk back and forth on the counter drinking water out of the faucet as I pass by. I'll even jump into the sink while the water is running! I don't mind getting all wet. What's not to love about a cat with a personality like mine? How about this: You can be my guardian angel, and I will be your sweet Angelica kitty! I do have some special health needs. Anyone interested in adopting me should speak to an adoption counselor to get more information. Apply online to adopt Angelica.

Barry the ball player is looking for a family who will spend time tossing his a ball or playing tug. Barry can be a little ball “obsessed” and could use help working on relaxing and learning when it’s time to end the game. He is isn’t mean, just your typical over-zealous lab. Barry is around 5 years old. He was found out on his own and never claimed.
Give this boy a share.

Bomber is over at Rochester Animal Control Shelter MN. Bomber is less than a year old and an active pup. He loves to play and would make a great doggie playmate. Need an exercise partner? Bomber can help with that, too.

*He is fixed and up to date on his vaccinations.
Apply on line, and we will set up an appointment with one of the officers.

Zuko is a 5-year-old, 70-pound guy who came to us from a rescue partner. He is a friendly, easygoing guy who loves attention and takes life pretty much as it comes. Zuko is calm, walks well on a leash, and gets along well with other dogs. If you're looking for a big, laid-back companion who just likes to go with the flow, Zuko might be your guy!

Hey- it’s me, Danny. First off, thank you to everyone who helped save me and help pay for my care. I am grateful and beyond humbled. Second, as you can see, they weren’t able to save my leg. Because I am a big guy and the fact that it was a front leg injury, the surgeon was hoping to save my leg, but it was beyond repair. That’s OK. I am lucky to have been rescued and to be alive. Lots of dogs on reservations aren’t so lucky. The good news is, I am feeling pretty good. Alana took me outside to get some pictures and then, she sat with me on the grass, and the sun was shining down on me. It was so therapeutic. I am recovering and hopefully on a journey that ends up with me in a home. Everyone can’t believe what a good boy I am and how gentle I am. I guess that’s just my personality.
I will try to send you an update next week, OK?
Sincerely grateful,
Danny

Trent got out for a long walk on this beautiful fall morning. Trent is easy to walk and a sweet boy. He still can be a little bit leery of strangers and new situations. We think he would do well with someone with previous dog experience who is willing to work with him and help Trent gain some confidence. He is pretty darn cute!
