Do I look a bit unsure of myself? Well, I am.
I came here from one of the shelters rescue partners, and I was pretty frightened. I’m getting better, but I know I’ll be even better when I get home. I’m not mean or anything like that. I’m just afraid. Once the volunteers get me outside, I relax. I think I’d relax even more sitting next to someone on their couch. I’m not very big, so I would fit right next to you cause I’m just 31 pounds. Anyway, it’s OK if you can’t adopt me, but can you please share my picture things are looking up for me thanks to everyone who helps the people who work here.

Meooow. I'm Tabitha, a 2-year-old tabby mama cat who came to Paws and Claws from Evergreen Cat Sanctuary with my two kittens. Tabitha means gazelle, or graceful. Columnist George F. Will wrote, "Like a graceful vase, a cat, even motionless, seems to flow." I was understandably nervous and shy when I arrived here, but I am a sweet girl. After I get settled and feel comfortable being in a new place, I will be my affectionate, friendly self. If you would like to have a quiet, gentle young cat to keep you company, Tabitha would love to go home with you.

Hey! It’s me, Rocky. I have been almost two months and haven’t had much luck. Can you help? I am not even 6 months old, so I don’t want to grow up here. I mean, I get treated really well, but a home and my own people would be great. I keep
my kennel clean and am a pretty good listener. But, remember, I am still a puppy, so someone wanting to teach me all the things and be patient with me would be great. I came from a reservation, so I didn’t have all the opportunities some dogs get. I was lucky, though, cause I got a chance to come here. Life can be hard on the Rez, so I am grateful for people who help dogs like me. Show people my picture, OK?

"Once in a while, someone amazing comes along...and here I am." - Tigger. Maybe I wasn't "amazing" enough? Nah, when I showed up with two other young adult cats, the woman who lived there figured she couldn't keep any of us because she already has "too many cats." Because I'm called Tigger, it shouldn't surprise you that I'm an orange tabby and white male. My companions and I are all friendly and affectionate and like playing with toys. As Winnie the Pooh's friend says, ""Bouncy trouncy flouncy pouncy, fun fun fun fun fun." The three of us like both dry and wet food and got along with her other cats. I know that YOU will be amazing and when you come along, we'll be a purrfect match! To rephrase Tigger, "The most wonderful thing about Tigger, is I'm the one for you!"

Junebug is a beautiful black Pittie mix who came to us from an area rescue. She weighs about 50 pounds and sporting a darlin turned up nose. Junebug can be a little timid when she first meets you, but give her a little time and she'll show you what a loving and sweet girl she really is. Once she gets comfortable, she loves getting attention and being around her people. Junebug is looking for a patient family who will give her the time she needs to settle in and learn that she's safe. We know that once Junebug trusts you, she'll be a wonderful companion.

Happy Thursday! Just wanted to give you guys and update on Crouton! He is loving his new home he is playing with toys eating well and drinking plenty of water😁 He has started to greet me each day when I get home and give me a sad meow every time I walk out the door. But he is comfortable and happy! Thank you all for caring for him for so long and letting him come home with me🥹 He also has his own show he like to watch it’s just squirrels and birds on YouTube and he can’t get enough!

We just wanted to share an update on our sweet girl Dottie (formerly Winter). She’s been living the dream as the center of attention of her dual income no kids moms and her two sets of doting doggie grandparents. She’s been loving all her new toys, cuddles with her moms, investigating cat activities, and playing fetch (which she only wants to play indoors). She’s been adjusting well to her crate and potty schedule and begrudgingly had her first bath today. We could not feel more grateful and lucky to have been chosen to bring her home.

This is Blue. He is so gentle! After all he has been through, Blue is a resilient boy. A beautiful tripod .

Blue is a 3-year-old Pit Bull who came to us from one of our rescue partners. His story hasn't been an easy one-he was found after being hit by a train, which sadly resulted in the amputation of one of his back legs. But don't let that fool you... Blue doesn't let that slow him down! He is one of the sweetest, gentlest boys you could meet. Blue knows his basic commands, is very well mannered, and just loves being around people. He has such a loving personality and is ready to put his difficult past behind him and find a family who will show him just how good life can be. Blue is a pretty special boy, and we can't wait to see him find the loving home he deserves!
