Guenther is a 5-year-old Boxer who came to Paws and Claws from a breeder release. He is such a happy guy and has that fun, outgoing Boxer personality that makes it hard not to smile when you're around him. He is also beautiful and enjoys being around other dogs. Boxers are known for being friendly, playful, affectionate, and full of personality, and Guenther certainly fits the bill. They are also active, intelligent dogs who do best with regular exercise, interaction, and training. Guenther would love a family that wants a dog who can be part of the action rather than one who is content to sit on the sidelines. If you have never owned a Boxer before, please do some research on the breed before applying. Boxers can have some breed-specific health concerns, including heart conditions and certain cancers, so regular veterinary care is important. **This darling couple were adopted back in July and returned due to no fault to their own.**
Meet Cashew and Acorn! These little friends have been through a lot, they were seized from a home after being left behind. Humans have let them down, but through it all they have had each other. Even though humans have disappointed them, they do love us still! They take a little time to warm up and trust, but once they do, they will be your best friends and loyal companions! Since they have been each other's constant companions, they do need to find a home together. If you think that you are the right family for this little pair, apply online! Introducing Jenna, Balto & Kaltag!

If you’re curious about the names…

Balto, Kaltag, and Jenna are major canine characters from the 1995 animated adventure film Balto, which is loosely based on the historic 1925 serum run to Nome, Alaska.
They came to us from a rescue partner and are approximately seven months old.. they’re very excitable so far, just very, very hungry and a bit frightened of they’re surroundings, but they’re making headway .They’ll take your hand off for a hotdog. That’s what they were looking at in all the pictures. Got them to settle down and snapped a few. They’ve got a lot to learn, one girl and two boys.. quite the lookers😉

Meet Cashmere & Chantel! Cashmere and Chantel are two 6-year-old French Bulldog sisters who came to PCHS from a rescue partner. These girls are very bonded and are looking for a home where they can stay together. They haven’t had the easiest life, but you’d never know it by meeting them. They are sweet as can be, love people, enjoy being around other dogs, and are just an all-around fun pair! French Bulldogs are a wonderful breed, but they do have some special needs and can come with health concerns. We strongly encourage anyone interested in Cashmere and Chantel to do their research and make sure the breed is a good fit for their lifestyle. These two have been through so much and they’re ready for a forever home where they can be loved, spoiled, and enjoy the good life together.

Per Chance..
You'll Take a Chance on me?

Meet Chance! Chance is a 6-year-old terrier mix who came to PCHS from a rescue partner. He weighs about 27 pounds and is a sweet, easygoing guy. We don't know a lot about Chance's past, but what we do know is that he is a really nice fella. He isn't super active and seems to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle. He likes going for walks and is good on a leash. He also likes other dogs. Chance would love a home where he can settle in, enjoy some walks, and spend lots of time with his people. He's ready for a fresh start and a family of his own!

Meet Breadstick, a Miniature Poodle, estimated to be approximately three years old that came to us from a nearby impound and has proven to be quite the player. He goes out with the bigger dogs and has an absolute blast....just got a haircut yesterday and is ready to roll on down the road. Make somebody very happy. He's a little go-getter.. So you best come get him quick!

Tell everybody Danny Boy's here! This little Yorkie arrived in poor body condition, estimated to be around 7 years old. Tough little cookie, Little stinker. He's been shaking it off, just wanting to know when the next treat or meal is coming. Other than that, he's just resting easy, healing up, and getting ready for what's next... Little does he know it's a bath and grooming. 😀

Barry is a 5-year-old Lab mix who came to PCHS through one of our rescue partners. When he arrived, he had clearly been through a lot. He was very underweight and had a severe skin infection, painful ear infections, overgrown nails, and untreated allergies. With the care he has received, Barry is doing so much better! His fur is growing back, his skin is healing, and you can really tell how much better he feels. Now that he's feeling good, his friendly and outgoing personality is really shining through. Barry is a big boy at his proper weight, weighing about 90 pounds. He will need to stay on allergy medication for the rest of his life, but we think he is worth every bit of it. He would also benefit from some basic obedience training and we think he would enjoy having another friendly dog in his new home. Most of all, Barry is looking for what every dog deserves-a family who will give him a lifetime of love and let him know just how wonderful life can be.
