Just weeks ago, these 7 gentle souls were part of the 27 Shelties rescued from an extreme hoarding situation—living in cramped, dirty crates, without proper food, clean water, or medical care. They are 7 of the 24 that came to us three weeks ago, a couple of them are already in their new homes . Thanks to dedication and caring love, generous donations, veterinary treatment, patient grooming, and plenty of TLC, there all beginning a brand-new chapter.

These 7 have been cleared for adoption, with many more to follow, so keep an eye on our website. They came to us with fleas, ear mites, severe dental disease, and matted fur so packed with debris it caused painful skin irritation. After multiple vet visits, medications, and even surgery, there finally free from the discomfort they’ve known for so long.
There all still learning that people can be kind, and that they’re in a good place, slowly but surely they’re learning to trust all of us humans at the shelter,.. so they’ll do best with a patient, loving home that understands the needs of a dog coming from a life of neglect. With time, trust, and care, they’re sure to blossom into a devoted companions who will adore their new masters.

You may remember Stella the incredibly sweet, petite Yellow Lab mix, who was just here last weekend and adopted within a couple days, well these are her children. 4 1/2 months old, per usual we are unsure of who the father is. One girl and three boys. They are Rosebud, Bolt, Shiloh and Buddy.

This sweet yeller baby still prefers the safety of her bed, but if you’re nice about it, you can coax her out and about.

Drum roll please... introducing... Stella!
This petite yellow lab came to PCHS with a handful of her puppies when she needed someone safe to be. Stella did well raising her babies, but now she is ready to put the mothering days behind her and become someone else's baby.
Stella is roughly 2 years old and only 46 pounds. She is quiet and timid at first, but she longs to be with people. It just takes her a bit to open up and trust you. Stella would flourish in a home with structure and stability and where her family gives her time to decompress.

Look at this stunning little lady! Meet Sissy!
Sissy was transferred to PCHS from a rescue partner in hopes of finding her forever home. Sissy is young, sweet, affectionate, and would make a great addition into almost any household.
Sissy would do well with a home that will give her time to settle in and decompress. She has been through a lot changes recently and she could really use some stability in her life. Sissy is very submissive and preferred to "melt" into the floor when the vet was examining her. It is believed she would do well with other dogs as well.
This sweet girl is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and dewormed... the only thing missing from her life is a home to call her own!

Meet the 'Summer Theme Crew'! (Harbor, Marina, Cabana, Buoy and Floaty)

These sweet pups were part of an accidental litter and came to PCHS when they needed somewhere to go. They are a "hodge podge" of breeds but we know they have some lab, mastiff, and chow mixed into them.

This group was a little nervous upon arrival and took a bit of time to warm up to the staff/environment. They would do well with families that will give them time to warm up to their new surroundings and show them patience as they learn the routine of the house. They would even benefit from having another dog in the house to play with and show them the ropes!

Introducing the 'Cheese Pups'! (Mozzarella, Gouda, Pepper Jack and Parmesan)

These cute squishy pups came to PCHS when they needed a new spot to land. They are about 3 months old and are a mixture of Corgi, pitty, and mastiff! They are pretty beefy pups but are also very short. This group settled into shelter life fairly easily and are very go with the flow. They love attention and are overall not too wild.

Like all puppies, they would benefit from basic training and socialization. They would even love a doggy friend to play with! They are up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed and neutered. The only thing missing is their forever homes!

Elsa and Ember are believed to be litter mates and be roughly 8 months old. We believe them to be some sort of German Shepherd mix but we can not say for sure. At 8 months old these girls are only about 30 pounds! They are not expected to be over 45 pounds as adults and will likely stay a more medium sized.

While these two girls are pals, they do not need to be adopted together. They would do well with a family that has time to show them the ropes and work on basic training. The start to their life was a little rocky, but we are here to support them and ensure the rest of their life is smooth sailing!

Meet Odie!

This stunning boy has been bounced around a lot in his short life. He doesn't let that slow him down!

Odie is a sweet, energetic, affectionate and talkative boy that is longing for the stability of a forever home. He is about 7 months old and is supposedly a mini Aussie mixed with a Great Dane. He needs an owner that understands that even though he is "big" that he is still a puppy and needs time and structure to learn a routine and basic obedience.
