We absolutely LOVE getting adoption updates! ❤️

Remember Baby Grey? Now known as Mitzi, she’s living her best life and keeping her mom company every step of the way.

“She is the best cat and my little snuggle bug. She follows me everywhere and she’s such a sweet soul. I love her to pieces and am so happy that I found her through you. I don’t know what I’d do without her.”

Stories like this are why we do what we do. Thank you for giving Mitzi the loving home she deserves! 🐾💕

Today is one of those days in rescue that we absolutely hate.

This morning, we lost one of the kittens. He fought as hard as he could, but his tiny little body just couldn’t keep going.

These babies came to us with fleas and ticks, and likely carrying internal parasites as well. Sometimes, despite everything we do, kittens are simply too sick, too weak, or their little bodies just don’t thrive.

Kitten season is already one of the hardest times of year for rescuers. We celebrate the victories, but the losses never get easier. Every kitten matters. Every life matters. And every loss leaves a hole in our hearts.

Today we’re mourning a tiny life that was loved, cared for, and given every chance we could. While rescue is full of happy endings, it’s important to remember that there are heartbreaking moments too.

Please keep the remaining kittens in your thoughts as they continue to fight. ❤️

Run free, sweet boy. You were loved.

The kittens got dewormed. So did I, apparently. 😑

🌸 Meet Plum! 🌸

Now that her kitten has found a forever home, it’s finally Plum’s turn to be spoiled! 💜

This gorgeous girl is really starting to let her personality shine. As she’s settled into rescue life, Plum has blossomed into a playful, fun-loving cat who enjoys chasing toys and showing off her silly side. It’s been wonderful watching her come into her own!

Plum has done well around other cats and would likely enjoy having a playful feline friend in her new home to keep her company and share adventures with.

If you’re looking for a beautiful girl with a sweet spirit, playful energy, and lots of love to give, Plum may be the perfect addition to your family. 🐾

🏡🐾 We’re often asked how we decide which cats get moved to the Manor and when.

First, it’s important to know that cats do not have to be in the Manor to be adopted. ❤️ The Manor is simply a more open environment where cats can socialize with other cats and people while enjoying extra space to roam, play, and relax.

When cats are adopted from the Manor, it opens up space for other cats to move in and continue their journey toward finding forever homes.

There are several things we take into consideration when making those decisions:
🐱 How well they get along with other cats
🐱 How long they’ve been with us
🐱 Their personalities and comfort levels
🐱 Whether the Manor environment would help them thrive

Recently, two Manor residents were adopted, which meant two new spots became available.

Enter brothers Sammie and Swiss. 💙 These sweet boys have been with us for a YEAR waiting for their forever family. They do wonderfully with other cats, and while Sammie is the outgoing social butterfly, Swiss is a little more reserved. We’ve noticed time and time again that many cats really blossom after moving to the Manor, gaining confidence as they settle into the larger space and social environment.

Last night, Sammie and Swiss officially moved into the Manor! 🏡 They spent the evening cautiously exploring, sniffing around, and reconnecting with some old feline friends who had previously made the move themselves.

We’re pretty sure that within just a few days, these boys will be soaking up all the space, sunshine, comfy spots, and attention from visitors and volunteers alike. ❤️🐾

Now all they need is the forever family they’ve been waiting so patiently for. Apply here https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/JEEP/Cat

“Why do rescues always need volunteers?”

Because this is what ONE normal weekday looks like at Jeepin For Paws. 🐾

6:30 AM — Wake up and immediately start rescue duties before work.
Feed cats. Refill water bowls. Give medications. Clean overnight messes. Check on medical fosters.

7:20 AM — Leave for full-time job.

4:00 PM — Leave work and stop for cat food, cleaning supplies, meds or maybe even scared kittens

5:00–7:00 PM — Start second shift.
Scoop litter boxes.
Wash food bowls.
Feed cats again.
Clean enclosures.
Laundry.
Vacuum.
Organize supplies.
Take photos/videos for adoption posts.
Spend time socializing cats who are scared or lonely.

7:00 PM — Finally make dinner.

7:30–9:00 PM — More rescue work.
Applications.
Emails.
Facebook messages.
Petfinder updates.
Medical records.
Scheduling transports.
Posting adoptable cats.
Fundraising posts.
Coordinating fosters and adopters.

9:00 PM — Feed kittens

9:30 PM — Shower. Sleep. Repeat tomorrow.

And this happens 7 days a week.
No weekends off.
No holidays off.
No calling out sick when animals depend on you.

We do this because these cats deserve safety, medical care, full bellies, and a chance at a home. But rescue truly takes a village.

Even ONE volunteer shift a week can lighten the load more than you realize. ❤️

Below you’ll see the schedule for the next 2 weeks for volunteer needs and available shifts. If you’d like to help, comment on the post or send us a message.

You don’t need experience — just a willingness to help cats in need. 🐱
