Found in Short Gap around Colonial Heights area. Male bulldog reclaim by Tuesday 8:30 by calling Animal Control 304-788-5720.

This is brought to you by sweet, sad Chloe.

Chloe was brought in as a stray though she could not have possibly spent much time on the streets. She is a BIG GIRL in desperate need of a healthy weight loss plan. She was full of mats that have since been clipped off. And she is unhappy at the shelter. She has been moved from a cat condo to her own room in the cat room to make her more comfortable due to her size. She spends her days now perched in the window or curled up in the corner. She does not come out to greet you if you come inside her room but she does not hide either. And let’s face it, there is nowhere she can jam herself out of arms reach so if you just gently start stroking her you can feel her motor start to warm up. If you catch her in the window she will lean in for a chin scratch. She is not scared but not outgoing by any means. That is why is pains me that the past two Saturdays I’ve been in the cat room and no one has asked to meet her. Hopefully if we get the word out how lovely she is, that can change.

We are sponsoring Chloe’s adoption and she has a dental cleaning scheduled for September 21st. Because she is already spayed she is eligible to go home on adoption day and we will of course as always honor her dental appointment as long as she shows up for it.

Chloe needs a dedicated owner to get her on the right track to being healthy but besides a plan and some discipline she doesn’t require much else. Just a window ledge and someone to scratch her chin and remind her how beautiful she is. 💜
