Our Facebook comment and posting policy
The Richmond SPCA encourages and welcomes your comments. The following policy will help to maintain respectful interaction, and by taking part in discussions on the Richmond SPCA page, you are agreeing to the policy outlined here:
• All viewpoints are welcome, but user-submitted comments should remain relevant to the current topic and the Richmond SPCA.
• User posts are disabled in order to reduce spam and keep the conversation on-topic. Should you have a question or comment unrelated to the Richmond SPCA's post, please send a private message to our page admins using the "message" button at the top of the page, or email [email protected].
• Attacks on any person, profanity and aggressive behavior are prohibited as are comments that promote cruelty to animals.
• No spam, advertising or promoting of products/services. This includes repeated posts of identical or very similar content in a counter-productive manner. Content will be deleted if it contains:
• Unsubstantiated and provably false statements.
• Defamatory, discriminatory, racist, offensive, obscene, inflammatory, unlawful, or otherwise objectionable statements, language or content.
• Personally identifiable information. This refers to information that can be used to distinguish or trace an individual’s identity, either alone or when combined with other personal or identifying information that is linked or linkable to a specific individual. To protect your privacy, please do not share personal information. User-submitted content (including comments, photos and videos) do not necessarily represent the views of the Richmond SPCA. We reserve the right to alter this policy and to block or delete offenders of this policy.
