A few extra minutes in the heat can quickly become dangerous for pets. Heatstroke is a serious medical emergency that can develop faster than many pet owners realize. Watch for warning signs such as excessive panting, weakness, vomiting, drooling, or collapse.

The best protection is prevention. Keep pets hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day, and never leave them in a parked vehicle.

If you suspect heatstroke, please contact your local emergency vet immediately!

National Pet Choking Prevention Day is June 22.

A little prevention goes a long way. Be sure to keep tempting treats out of reach and supervise pets during outdoor gatherings. If you think your pet may have swallowed something they shouldn't, contact your veterinarian right away. If a foreign body removal procedure is recommended, our team is here to help.
