Columbus Day Fun Fact!
Talk about taking the LONG way to the beach!

On October 12, 1492, after sailing across the Atlantic Ocean, Christopher Columbus and his expedition reached an island in what we now know as The Bahamas.
The Indigenous Lucayan people who lived there called the island Guanahani.

Imagine spending weeks crossing the ocean and finally seeing those beautiful Bahama waters!

A little history + a little tropical daydreaming for your Monday.🏝️

Introducing our October Employee of the Month — Robert!

Robert brings such a positive attitude to our Raeford team! You can almost always count on seeing Robert with a smile, and that same positivity shows in the love and care he gives our guests every day. 💚

Robert is always willing to jump in, lend a hand, and help wherever needed. We’ve also been so proud to watch how much Robert has grown in his position. His confidence, hard work, and willingness to learn have not gone unnoticed!

And, of course, we couldn’t celebrate Employee of the Month without a furry friend! Robert is pictured with Reese, who was happy to help with the photo. 💚

We’re so grateful to have Robert as part of our Five Points Pet Resort – Raeford team and excited to recognize him as our October Employee of the Month!

Help us give Robert a BIG congratulations! 💚

TRAINING TIP TUESDAY

Follow Through!

“Down… Down… DOWN!” Sound familiar?

When we repeat a command over and over, our dogs can learn that the first one doesn’t really matter.

If you give your dog a command, be prepared to see it through. Give the command once, guide your dog if needed, and make sure they complete what was asked.

Whether it’s Come, Place, Sit, or Stay, consistency teaches your dog that your words have meaning.

💡 Simple Practice Reminder:
Before giving a command, ask yourself:

"Am I ready to follow through?”

If the answer is yes—say it once and see it through.

Say it. Guide it. Follow through.
