Sponsored rider Felicitas uses SURE FOOT daily with her dressage horses!
A horse’s movement is a study in diagonal symmetry: while one pair of legs stabilizes the body, the other pair remains mobile. Often, a horse’s natural "weak" diagonal is visible even at a standstill. You might notice one hind foot consistently resting or a front foot habitually parked forward (camped out), signaling a compensation pattern.
Beyond structured riding and bodywork, proprioception exercises are transformative for helping a horse rediscover its own center of gravity. Utilizing tools like SURE FOOT pads allows the horse to experience its own weight distribution in a low-stress environment, encouraging them to self-correct their balance.
If you want to learn more about proprioception tools I use in my work, check out Tools for Horse and Rider. There are great exercises for both the horse and rider. https://www.felicitasvonneumanncoseldressage.com/tools-for-horse-and-rider
