The Queen of the Pack
Today we say goodbye to Big Mama Deja Vu. She Crossed The Bridge Yesterday 6-2-2026 Surrounded by her Pack and In the Arms of her loving mom Our Food Goddess Lana Wuest
While she may not have been a Guardians rescue, make no mistake about itβshe was one of the greatest Guardians we have ever known.
For years, she stood beside our Food Goddess, helping heal the broken souls that found their way into our rescue. Frightened dogs, neglected dogs, abused dogs, abandoned dogsβBig Mama welcomed them all.
She taught them what safety felt like.
She taught them what family looked like.
She taught them that not every hand hurts and not every dog is a threat.
When a new foster arrived scared and unsure, Big Mama was often the first one to show them the way.
She was the gentle heart of the home.
The steady presence.
The protector.
The teacher.
The queen.
But let's be honest... she was also the undisputed leader of the pack.
If the youngsters started acting like clowns, all Big Mama had to do was stand up and give that look.
You know the one.
The look that said, "FAFO."
And suddenly everyone remembered their manners, found a place to lay down, and decided maybe a nap was the best choice after all.
She commanded respect without ever demanding it.
She led with quiet confidence, wisdom, and love.
The pack is lost today.
The Food Goddess is heartbroken.
And every Guardian dog whose life was touched by Big Mama carries a piece of her legacy.
Sir Gabriel.
Ethan.
Hannah
And so many others whose names never made it to social media.
They were all better because she was here.
Run free, sweet girl.
Thank you for helping so many broken souls heal.
Thank you for being the heart of the pack.
Thank you for being our Guardian.
Until we meet again, Queen Deja Vu. ππΎπ
Please keep Lana in your Hearts π and Prayers. She will need all of us right now.
