Surely you weren't fooled by the kitty space suit.. 🤣

This photo is actually of Cinnamon preparing to have blood drawn. She is a scared kitty that dislikes veterinary care. At Lakeshore Mobile we use every tool and trick we have to minimize stress while maintaining safety for the patients and staff.

To help her relax she is in a cat bag. These bags help provide some restraint without impairing vision. Many cats can even be transported in these bags calmly instead of a carrier. Most bags have zipper or Velcro openings that can be used to facilitate blood draws and nail trims one foot at a time.

We also utilized an air muzzle (like a hamster ball) that protects our team from bites without causing undo stress for Cinnamon. We were able to successfully and safely draw blood and start her on treatment.

Did you know that Dr. Denzine works at Emergency Veterinarian Care Center when she isn't making house calls? We won't be answering the phones but she will be seeing patients Thursday at the Westville Location.

If you are in need of emergency medical care for your pets tomorrow or any time, please contact Emergency Veterinary Care Centers.

We hope you don't need to see her tomorrow, but if you do Dr. Denzine will continue to provide the quality, compassionate care she is known for.

Dr. Denzine is needed by her family for the near future and will have limited availability. As always current clients take priority so new clients will be placed on a waiting list for appointments when possible. Be advised this may be a week or more before we are able to schedule you. Urgent or emergency care should be handled by full service primary care or the emergency clinics in the area.

Euthanasia requests for new clients should be directed to Halo Pet, Lap of Love, or Paws at Peace.

We care for all our patients, but Hoss holds a very special place in our hearts. After two and a half years of hospice care this goodbye was beautiful but so painful.

I hope you can chew all the sticks and sniff all the flowers with your new body. May we meet again.

We are closing for 18 days this summer.

Lakeshore Mobile Veterinary Care is dedicated to building connections and providing excellent care to clients and patients alike. To ensure that we can continue to provide this service to Northwest Indiana for years to come we are taking a short closure to spend quality time with family.

As always, in the event of emergency please seek care with Emergency Veterinary Care Centers. For hospice and end of life care at home during this closure we recommend Halo Pet Hospice and Paws at Peace depending on location.

Our phones will be off, but Online booking will be available for appointments in September. Current clients can still reach out via the portal or text.

Happy 4th of July, Yes we know it's early.. but this is your reminder to schedule an appointment with your veterinarian (or ours 😉) to tackle your pets fireworks phobia before they start.

This took a long time to post because it hit us hard.. Elvis was a sweetheart but our team has been caring for his brother Milton for some time due to a degenerative disease. We expected Milton to be the first to say goodbye.

Dr. Denzine was lucky to be at the ER working when Elvis came in struggling. Over the next week, despite multiple doctors working together, Elvis succumbed to an aggressive cancer. Dr. Denzine was there again to help Elvis pass without pain surrounded by his family including his brother Milton.

Our hearts ache with his family.
