Supporting Students for the 2026–2027 School Year
Tammie’s Dog Services and Training is proud to support local students by donating school supplies to Portage Christian Academy for the 2026–2027 school year.
This donation included 16 backpacks, spiral notebooks, pens, pencils, glue, crayons, and pencil sharpeners to help students begin the year with the tools they need to learn and succeed.
We believe that every student deserves a positive start to the school year, and we are honored to give back to our community in a meaningful way. Supporting local students and families is one small way we can help make a difference.
We wish all students, teachers, and staff a successful and blessed school year.

AKC Puppy STAR and Canine Good Citizen Class

Give your puppy or dog a positive start with a class designed to build confidence, good manners, and everyday obedience skills. In a supportive setting, you and your dog will practice socialization, leash walking, handling, impulse control, and responsible ownership while preparing for AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy or Canine Good Citizen skills, based on your dog’s age and readiness.
This class is a great next step for pet owners who want a happier, more confident companion and may also prepare teams for the appropriate AKC evaluation when requirements are met.

Prerequisite for CGC is you must have proof of an Obedience Class completion. If can’t provide you will need to be tested on the following behaviors. Name, Sit, Down, Come, leave it, Stay, Greet others Politely.

🚨 WE TOOK THE CHANCE. NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP. 🚨

Four dogs from the recent Gary dog fighting case are finally out of animal control because four foster homes stepped forward.

We didn't have funding waiting for them.

We had people willing to open their homes, and we weren't going to leave these dogs behind because of money.

Today, these four dogs need far more than a place to sleep. They need veterinary care. They need rehabilitation. They need months of patient foster care to learn how to trust people, walk on a leash, accept affection, and simply be dogs.

So far, only one person has donated.

That's $50 toward four dogs whose recovery is just beginning.

If you've been following their story, if you celebrated when they left animal control, we're asking you to be part of what happens next.

Every dollar helps us keep the promise we made to them.
