This 10–12 week protection training course is designed to develop not just obedience and control, but also confidence, precision, and reliability in real-world scenarios.

🐾✨ Halfway check-in for Warby!

Today, Warby’s owner came out to work with Elyse for his halfway session — and what a difference a few weeks can make. 👏

During halfway sessions, we:
✅ Show the owner everything their pup has been working on
✅ Teach them how to handle with confidence & consistency
✅ Answer questions and build a game plan for the second half of training

Warby’s progress so far:

🐕 Building confidence in new environments
🐕 Clearer communication with his handler

Meet Woody (all brown) & Rex (white + brown) — two little Dachshund pups with a very big mission. 🐾❤️

These two are in training to become service dogs for their owner, proving that service dogs are not breed-specific. 🐶 Service dogs aren’t just Labs or Goldens — what matters most is temperament, work drive, and stability in public access.

Woody & Rex are already hard at work learning tasks that will change their owner’s life:
✨ Anxiety interruption — grounding their handler during stressful moments.
✨ Touch & retrieval — using their noses and mouths to assist.
✨ Scent training (coming soon!) — alerting their owner when oysters are nearby, which is lifesaving since their owner is severely allergic. 🦪🚫

Not every dog can be a service dog — even some bred-for-it Labs will “wash out.” But when you start young, with the right temperament and guidance, some pets grow into something so much more. 💪🐾

Meet Mark, our newest balanced dog trainer — and a protection training specialist who knows how to turn power into precision. 💪🐕‍🦺

With 2 years of protection dog work in the private security sector, Mark has been in the thick of it as both a handler and a decoy. That means he’s worked on the front lines of training, developing dogs who need courage, focus, and absolute control when it matters most. 🔥

But here’s the best part: Mark doesn’t just stop at protection. He’s also skilled in pet dog training & behavioral modification — from leash manners to reactivity, he brings the same structure and clarity to family dogs as he does to elite working dogs.

✨ Old Dog, New Pup, Same Lesson ✨

Today, Seven (our wise 7-year-old Lab mix) and Warby (our goofy almost 6-month-old Golden Retriever pup) hit up PetSmart in Germantown to practice leash manners and impulse control in a busy public setting. 🐾

While Seven shows us that age brings patience, Warby is still learning the ropes—but proving every day that progress is possible. 💪🐶

👉 This is your reminder that no matter the age, every dog can learn new skills with structure, consistency, and the right leadership. Whether it’s mastering a calm walk or resisting all those exciting distractions (like squeaky toys and other pups 🐕), training is a lifelong journey.

We’re proud of both Seven & Warby for putting in the work today—because practice makes progress, not perfection! 🐾✨

🐾 From Nervous Puddles to Confident Struts — Meet Archie! 🐾

Not that Archie from Riverdale — but our Archie’s still starring in his own drama. 🎬🐶 Only instead of love triangles and mystery plots, his storyline starts with… well… a little too much marking — some from insecurity, some from wanting to be the big man on campus. 🚫💦

Here at K9netic Pack, we’re rewriting his script to focus on:
✨ Building real confidence in new places & around new people
✨ Teaching when marking is not part of the scene
✨ Mastering leash manners so he can walk like the leading man he is 🚶‍♂️🐕

Like any good Riverdale season, there’ll be twists, challenges, and big reveals — but by graduation, Archie’s getting his own happy ending, free of plot holes (and puddles). 💚

🐾 Loki & Sammy – Back at it Again! 🐾

You’ve met them before—Loki, our 2½-year-old Belgian Malinois from , and Sammy, our Goldendoodle Board & Train grad. Today, they teamed up again for another solid training session at K9netic Pack 💪

Loki’s still in adoption prep mode, working on building confidence, staying engaged with his handler, and being calm around other dogs. Every session gets him one step closer to being ready for his forever home… could it be yours? ❤️🐕

Sammy, on the other hand, is still the life of the party—no person is a stranger in his book. But today, his focus was on learning that while it’s okay to greet people, it’s not okay to greet them with paws flying in the air. We’re working on keeping four on the floor and making those hellos calm and polite.

Different goals, same recipe: balanced training, structure, and consistency. 🙌

⚖️ Rosalina: Balanced Pup in the Making ⚖️

Meet Rosalina — our 4-month-old XL Bully puppy who’s growing into a calm, confident, and well-mannered young lady right before our eyes. 🐾💛

In her private training sessions, we’ve been focusing on:
🧠 Becoming a balanced puppy — calm energy, clear boundaries, and confidence
🚶‍♀️ Leash manners — so walks are enjoyable for everyone
🐶 Impulse control — mastering the art of patience (even when she’s excited)
📚 Basic commands — sit, down, place, and more to set the stage for a lifetime of success

Huge shoutout to her owners — they’ve been putting in the work at home, staying consistent, and showing up every session ready to learn and lead. 🙌 Their dedication is a huge reason Rosalina’s progress has been so incredible.

With teamwork like this, we know Rosalina’s going to grow into one amazing adult dog. ✨🐶

☀️ Golden Boy in the Making ☀️

Meet Warby — 5½ months of golden retriever sunshine, floppy ears, and just the right amount of puppy mischief. 🐾💛

He’s here for 2 weeks of Board & Train to work on:
🚶‍♂️ Leash manners — so walks are calm, controlled, and actually enjoyable
🧠 Basic obedience — sit, down, place, and all the puppy essentials
💪 Confidence building — because brave pups make happy pups

This is just the start of his training journey… and we’re happy to say he’ll B back soon for private lessons with his owner to keep growing into the well-mannered gentleman we know he can be.

For now, we’ll just be over here enjoying his goofy puppy grin, tail wags, and that signature golden glow. ✨🐶

🦴 Eyes on the Handler, Not the Hype: Taki’s PetSmart Win 🐾

Taquito (aka Taki) the Hound/Pitbull mix went on a mission today: hold it together in one of the most overstimulating environments around—PetSmart in Frederick, MD. And not just on a slow Tuesday—during peak chaos.

Here’s what was on deck:
👶 Kids yelling and darting through aisles
🐶 Dogs lunging in a group training class
🗣️ Loud conversations and cart traffic
🚪 Constant in-and-out foot traffic near the doors

While one pup in the class was visibly struggling—reactive to every sound and movement—Taki held it down. No reactivity. No panic. Just calm, composed obedience and zero interest in the chaos around him.

His checklist today:
✅ Maintain Sit and Down in a high-distraction zone
✅ Keep eye contact with his handler, even when dogs barked right next to him
✅ Walk with polite leash manners past it all
✅ Practice true impulse control, not just obedience in a vacuum

This wasn’t about flashy tricks—it was about staying mentally grounded. That’s the result of balanced, real-world training with clear communication, structure, and trust.

Taki didn’t just show up—he showed out. 🧡
