🥏 DISC DOG IN THE MAKING…

Loki has officially discovered another way to be ✨extra✨ 😂

We’re still in the beginner stages of disc—learning to track, catch, retrieve, and actually bring the disc BACK instead of celebrating with it. 🥏🐊

For a high-drive dog like Loki, this is the perfect combination of physical exercise, mental work, fulfillment, and FUN.

Could there be an UpDog competition in our future? 👀 Maybe.

Could we just keep doing this because he thinks it’s the greatest thing ever? Also very possible. 😂

Either way, we’re having a blast figuring it out together.

Neutrality > Friendship 👏🐾

Huxley put in some WORK today! We practiced sending to Place + holding position with e-collar conditioning while adding natural outdoor distractions—horses, movement around the farm, and even my Platoon Sergeant, who graciously volunteered as today’s tribute. 😂

One of Huxley’s biggest reasons for being here is his discomfort and reactivity around unfamiliar men. The goal isn’t to make Huxley love every man he meets. The goal is neutrality.

He can see a man.
He can exist around a man.
He can stay in position.
And he can choose appropriate behavior instead of reacting.

Today, Place gave Huxley a clear job while we worked through that discomfort—and every successful repetition helps build a dog who can make better choices even when he doesn’t necessarily like the situation.

We’re not changing who Huxley is. We’re teaching him how to navigate the world appropriately. 💪🐶

We are officially no longer accepting new Day Training clients — because we’re introducing something even better:

🎓 K9NETIC PACK DAY SCHOOL!

Love the idea of a Board & Train, but hate the thought of your dog being away from home every night? Day School gives you the best of both worlds.

Your dog spends their training days with us receiving the structure, repetition, professional training, and real-world practice of a Board & Train — then comes home to you every evening. 🧡

🐾 HOW DAY SCHOOL WORKS

☀️ Drop your dog off for their scheduled training day
🎓 They train with us throughout the day
🚗 Pick-up is between 4–6 PM
🏡 Your dog goes home and sleeps with you every night
🎓 A private Graduation Lesson is included at the end of the program

Please note: K9netic Pack is CLOSED Sundays & Mondays. Day School does not operate on those days, so there are no Day School drop-offs or pick-ups on Sundays or Mondays. Your dog remains home with you and returns for training on their next scheduled Day School day.

⚡ THE E-COLLAR ISN’T THE TRAINING. YOUR EDUCATION IS.

Shavi already has intermediate obedience. Now we’re advancing that obedience while teaching her a new layer of communication: the e-collar.

Here’s where we think the dog-training industry needs to do better.

Too many owners are handed an e-collar and shown which button to press—but not taught how the tool actually works.

Before you ever rely on an e-collar, you should understand:

⚡ How to find your dog’s working level
⚡ What the stimulation is communicating
⚡ When pressure should turn on AND off
⚡ The difference between conditioning and correction
⚡ How your timing changes what your dog learns

Shavi is demonstrating one of our foundational conditioning drills: Come to Me. We also teach Go Away From Me and Stay in Position so the stimulation has clear, predictable meaning.

Think of an e-collar like a Ferrari. 🏎️
A powerful tool isn’t automatically a bad tool—but handing someone the keys without teaching them how to drive is a recipe for problems.

That lack of education is a huge reason e-collars have the reputation they do.

We don’t want owners who know how to push a button.

We want owners who understand why they’re pushing it, when to release it, and what they’re communicating to their dog.

Mother Nature had other plans for us today. ⛈️

Due to the storm and a power outage at K9netic Pack, our facility is currently CLOSED. The safety and well-being of the dogs in our care, our team, and our Pack community will always come first.

🐾 WAIT… WHO ARE THE UNFAMILIAR FACES???👀

If you’ve been around K9netic Pack lately, you may have noticed two new faces running around while Dannie was away at Starmark Academy .

Meet Ariel & Dallas — our interns! 🎓🐶

They’re completing internships with K9netic Pack for college credit, which means they’re getting a behind-the-scenes look at what working in the dog industry actually looks like.

Spoiler alert: it’s not just playing with puppies all day. 😂

They’ve been:

🐕 Walking & exercising dogs
🧼 Cleaning and maintaining kennels
🍽️ Helping with daily care routines
🐾 Learning safe dog handling
👀 Observing canine behavior & training
🧹 Helping keep the facility running smoothly
💩 And becoming VERY familiar with the less glamorous side of working with animals 😂

At K9netic Pack, we want internships to be more than checking off hours for a college requirement. Ariel and Dallas are getting real, hands-on experience with the care, responsibility, safety, sanitation, teamwork, and daily operations that go into professionally caring for dogs.

Because before you can become great at working with animals, you have to understand everything that goes into caring for them. 💙

We’re excited to have these two learning, working, asking questions, getting their hands dirty, and becoming part of the chaos that is the K9netic Pack. 😂

🐾 Your Puppy Doesn’t Know What the Leash Means Yet!

Freddy the Bernese Mountain Dog puppy is learning one of the most important puppy skills: how to walk politely on a leash. 🤎

Here’s the thing—puppies aren’t born understanding leash pressure. Pulling, stopping, wandering, or getting distracted doesn’t mean they’re being “stubborn.” We have to teach them what the leash is communicating.

At Freddy’s age, we’re NOT looking for a perfect, competition-style focused heel. Instead, we’re building the foundation:

🐾 Heel position = left side of the handler
🐾 Stay within a reasonable distance while walking
🐾 Follow light leash pressure
🐾 Check in and engage with the handler
🐾 Understand that pressure can guide movements like sit or down

And leash pressure doesn’t mean yanking a puppy around. When it’s taught correctly, a small amount of pressure can communicate a lot.

In this session, you’ll see Freddy walking with Dannie, checking in, maintaining his position, and even working through a sit.

Right now, we aren’t chasing perfection.

✨ We’re teaching communication.
✨ We’re building engagement.
✨ We’re creating habits that will matter when this little guy isn’t so little anymore. 😂

Because with a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy… polite leash manners are definitely something you want to teach BEFORE they realize how big they are. 🐶😂

K9netic Pack has grown a LOT since we opened our doors, and after everything we’ve learned along the way, we’re making some changes to create a better experience for our dogs, our clients, and our team.

🕘 NEW BUSINESS HOURS
We’re creating more structure behind the scenes while still giving our clients dedicated time throughout the week.

🏡 BOARDING IS HERE TO STAY
Going away for the weekend? We’ve got you.
Need somewhere safe for your dog for several weeks or months? We’ve got you there, too.

Our boarding isn’t limited to vacations. We welcome short-term AND long-term stays, whether that’s a couple of days, several months, or longer when life requires it.

🐕 AND TRAINING? WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED.

Our Board & Train programs begin at 4 weeks, and Private Lessons are available for owners who want hands-on help working alongside their dog.
