Palmervale Farm

Palmervale is a relaxed boarding facility with an emphasis on horse care and training in a friendly environment.

- Large outdoor ring with all-weather footing and lights for evening riding
- Ample access to tons trails including the C&O Canal located right across the street.
- Owners live onsite
- Free choice hay year round, grown on the property.
- Large or small group turnout options
- Organized trips to Woodstock Equestrian Park and local shows

Palmervale also offers training and lessons -

- Training is very individualized depending on the various goals of each rider and needs of each horse, from basic ground work to upper levels
- specialization in OTTBs as well as horses with behavioral issues
- A few sale and lease horses available as well!

We have a terrific group of fun boarders and riders and would love to welcome more!

Palmervale Farm has a few stalls available immediately!

Conveniently located off River Road in Poolesville, Maryland, Palmervale offers a relaxed, friendly, quiet environment for all, from pleasure riders and retirees to young horses in training.

Oversized stalls are equipped with their own preinstalled fans, small group turnout with private turnout available, well-maintained pastures, 100’ x 200’ outdoor ring with lights and all weather footing, excellent trail access and access to the C&O Canal right across the street. Palmervale Farm has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere and an emphasis on quality horse care.

We offer lessons and training as well, specializing in thoroughbreds recently from the track. We are a medium sized boarding facility and although we do offer lessons to boarders and a few lease options, we are not a round the clock lesson barn. We currently have a group of older teens and adult amateurs of all ages who love spending time at the farm and planning on and off property adventures.

Owners live on property to provide the highest quality care for each horse.

We’re very lucky to be located right across the street from a McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area with access to the C&O Canal National Historic Park. The upgrades to the canal trail make for a lovely hack!

The Palmervale crew is a force to be reckoned with during lessons with 5 time Olympic Show Jumper Manuel Torres.

We are so excited that Manuel will be teaching at Palmervale weekly now! Anyone interested in trailering over for a jumping lesson please message us. All are welcome, from green to the top levels. Now we just need bigger jump standards!
