Daphne needs our help! 😔
This poor girl can’t catch a break 💔 When we pulled Daphne from Broward County Animal Care, she was heartworm positive and had to receive an extremely painful treatment 😣 She also came with a severe case of kennel cough, it took nearly 2 weeks for her to start feeling better. THEN yesterday morning, she had thrown up blood and was passing even more blood going to the bathroom 😭
Good Karma rushed Daphne over to Acacia Animal Hospital 🏥 She was treated there and is feeling a little better, but she’s still very dehydrated and not herself ☹️ Our heart breaks for Daphne and we can’t wait till she’s feeling better and she can find her forever family ❤️

Update (01/22/2022): We regret to inform that despite an incredible effort from our partner vet and medical team, this sweet girl didn’t make it. This afternoon Quinn took a turn for the worst. Her temperature skyrocketed to over 107 and quickly dropped to 92 degrees. Unfortunately there was nothing left to try and she was peacefully put to sleep. We only take comfort in knowing that she was loved in her final moments and that we tried everything we could to save her. Thank you to everyone who donated towards her care, her vet bills are extensive. We couldn’t have tried so hard without everyone’s support. Thank you 🌈🐾
🆘 EMERGENCY DONATIONS NEEDED 🆘
Poor Quinn is hospitalized at Acacia Animal Hospital currently 🥺 She was rescued from Broward County Animal Care last week and was brought to Good Karma Pet Adoption Center. Over the past few days she has been doing very well, she was dewormed and has been eating a ton.
The GKPAC staff noticed Quinn was not acting like herself when they arrived this morning and brought her into the vet immediately. She was lethargic, vomiting, and has a fever of 105°. Her blood work shows low white blood cell count. She is incredibly anemic, her PCV (pack cell volume) is 12%, the normal range is 35-45%. Her parvo test is NEGATIVE thankfully. But it still leaves us with no diagnosis or reason why Quinn is feeling so crappy 💔

Remember Roy? He was our senior boy who had a giant butt hernia that had surgery, then got infected and looked awful and caused Roy to get sepsis… 🥴 Well look at him NOW! 😍
