As we prepare to transition from our location at 202 S. Collins, our biggest wish is to see every single kitty find their forever home…and for our gentle giant, Milo, that means you.

Milo has been with Catnip since the very beginning. This big, handsome orange boy is pure love…great with kids, affectionate, and always ready to brighten your day. He just has one request: to be the only cat in your home.

Milo is FIV-positive, but don’t let that scare you. FIV cats can live long, healthy, happy lives with regular vet care and lots of love. 🧡

Big News from Your Favorite Cat Lounge! 🐾

We’ve got an exciting update to share with our beloved Plant City community: We will be moving next door! Yes, just a few steps away from our current location on Main Street…so close that your favorite cats won’t even notice the change (as long as treats are still involved 😸).

Why the move? As a nonprofit, our mission has always been about helping rescue cats find loving homes, and every dollar we receive should go as directly as possible toward that cause. Right now, a large portion of our donations go to rent and payroll just to keep the café space running. By relocating to a more sustainable space next door…tucked between a cozy candle shop and an amazing bar/restaurant. We’re cutting down our overhead dramatically, allowing more of your generous support to go directly to the cats who need it most.

🐱 What’s not changing:

The cat lounge you love is staying, right in the new space.

We’ll continue to feature local vendor goods.

You’ll still be able to relax, cuddle cats, and enjoy the vibes.

Plus, with a bar and restaurant already on-site, you’ll still be able to grab a drink or bite while visiting!

As we prepare to transition, we would love your help finding forever homes for some of our amazing kitties. If you’ve been thinking about adopting, or know someone who has…now is the perfect time to make a life-changing connection with a new feline friend. 🧡

We’re so proud to be part of the beautiful and historic downtown Plant City, and this move helps us stay rooted right here…while honoring our commitment to the cats, our supporters, and our mission.

And don’t worry, we’re still here through September 20th, so come by and soak up every last cozy moment before we make the leap! Our re-opening date will be October 1st.

Have you tried our new menu? Nana is in the kitchen serving up a satisfying selection of hearty soups, salads and other small bites. Her Kitchen is open Friday through Sunday until 3pm! You know Nana won't let you leave hungry 😋

Sweet senior Lucy gave us quite a scare this week. She came down with a severe upper respiratory infection and had to be rushed in for emergency vet care. 💔 As a senior kitty, her immune system just isn’t what it used to be, but her fighting spirit is stronger than ever.
Rescue is beautiful, but it’s not easy. Emergency appointments, medications, follow-up care…it all adds up. If you’ve ever loved a cat like family, you know how hard it is to see them sick.

We’re asking for a little help from our community to cover the cost of Lucy’s care. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference. You can give through the link in our bio (catnipcafepc.com) or visit the cafe to donate in person.

Hi furriends. We need to close both the cafe and the lounge tomorrow (Thursday 7/24). We aPURRciate your kind understanding and support. We would love to see your faces on Friday 7/25 for a coffee, kitty pets, and local vendor shopping at our Black Cat Bazaar. 🐈‍⬛✨

Downtowns are the beating heart and lifeblood of cities and small towns alike. Thank you for supporting local businesses, non-profits, rescues, artists, and community. Walmart doesn’t swell with happiness, tears in their eyes, over a full shop/restaurant…or do a little dance when they have a good day, monetarily or find a furever home for a homeless animal….but small business owners do. We definitely do. 🫶🏻

Our sweet kitties are feeling a little under the weather, so the Cat Lounge will be closed 7/23–7/24 to give them time to rest and recover. 😿💤

The cafe will remain open for all your favorite coffees, teas, beer/wine, and light bites. Come hang out, sip something cozy, and send the cats some get-well vibes! 💌🐾
