Sugar Run Farm

Sugar Run Farm is located on the west side of Columbus in Plain City, Ohio.

The facility accommodates hunter, jumper, and equitation enthusiasts who want to compete and succeed at top levels on both the A and AA circuits while maintaining a family, career or education. We specialize in keeping both horse and rider trained to compete at anytime regardless of the client's schedule. All horses are cared for, turned out and trained daily enabling everyone to be at their best

at any time. Our goal is to make every rider successful and every horse happy while keeping it fun for all. We work with beginners through grand prix riders and offer horses for lease at all levels. We have a separate pony barn and riding area specifically laid out for kids to not only enjoy their ponies but to provide a very safe environment to learn.

Congratulations to the new owner of “Tryst”, Shannon Bell and many thanks and continued success to trainer Erin Ferguson Hughes. This young superstar has such a huge place in our hearts…an old soul at a very young age. This was a hard one. Our longest resident Pioneer “Lex” crossed the Bridge at the age of 25. He went suddenly and quickly…. Always a gentleman and always looking out for his mom Carolyn Kovacs. Although we are so sad that this sweet boy is gone we are grateful that he did not suffer and had just come in from a long day in the field, surrounded by the people and animals that loved him. Thank you Lex for so many years of wisdom and kindness. And to Carolyn…he couldn’t have had a better person❤️
