Have you ever seen a bird whiffling? They do this when the air currents or air speeds are a little bit faster and are trying to drop air currents quickly on their descent. It’s pretty cool to watch. First time I’ve captured this in a mount.

American woodcock ….. by far the toughest little bird I have worked on. Planning to work on more of these this fall for some surgical hand skill practice…they are under appreciated for how much beauty they truly have.
