This happy, high-spirited pup is full of life and ready to find his forever home! Batman was recently diagnosed with a minor Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD)—a congenital heart condition caused by a small hole between the left and right ventricles of the heart. While this condition is not operable, the great news is that Batman is currently showing no signs of irregular heart function, and no treatment is needed at this time. He’ll just need regular check-ups with a vet to monitor his heart, in case medication becomes necessary down the road.

But don’t think for a second that this slows him down! Batman is a joyful bundle of energy and one of the happiest pups you’ll ever meet. Like most Giant Schnauzers, he’s full of drive and enthusiasm, and he’ll need an adopter who can keep up with his active lifestyle. Daily exercise is a must for this working breed, and Batman will thrive with someone who can keep him both physically and mentally engaged.

He’s already got a great head start on his training—he walks beautifully on a leash, is housebroken, and sleeps quietly in his crate through the night. He’s still working on polishing up his manners, but he’s incredibly smart and highly food-motivated, so training comes easily to him.
Batman gets along wonderfully with other dogs, big and small. However, due to his size and energy level, he may be a bit too much for small children or elderly dogs who prefer a calmer pace.
