🐾 Fido Fixers: Spaying & Neutering Nationwide! 🚐💙

A program of Providence Animal Center, Fido Fixers has leased 10 mobile units since 2012, bringing spay/neuter to high-need communities across the U.S. Fido Fixers’ mission is to provide low-cost spay and neuter services for dogs and cats in economically distressed areas, mostly in the Southern United States using surgical mobile clinics. Fido Fix

ers was developed in 2012 by Lisa Wysocki and Suzanne Steinberg after they became increasingly frustrated with the seemingly never-ending supply of unwanted pets in high-kill shelters, especially in the Southeastern part of the United States. Lisa and Suzanne were convinced that the most important action they could take to end the loss of life was to begin a spay and neuter program in the communities with the worst dog and cat overpopulation problems. Lisa and Suzanne became convinced that the most important action they could take to try to end this senseless abuse and loss of life and was to begin a spay and neuter program in the communities with the worst dog and cat overpopulation problems. Our qualified partners agree to provide at least 200 spay and neuter surgeries a month, working four days a week with a dedicated vet. They lease the mobile clinic, directly from Fido Fixers, after signing a one-year agreement for $1 per month. Fido Fixers covers vehicle insurance, repairs, property taxes and DMV costs directly related to the mobile clinic. To see our current partners and schedule a low-cost or no-cost spay/neuter surgery, visit fidofixers.org/locations.

Every day, shelters across the country are overwhelmed with homeless pets, many of them the result of unplanned litters. The solution is simple, effective, and lifesaving: spay and neuter.

At Providence Animal Center, through our Fido Fixers program, we’re working to bring these services directly into underserved communities, because access is everything. When families have affordable, convenient options, they choose to do the right thing for their pets.

🐶 Prevent unwanted litters
🐱 Reduce overcrowding in shelters
🐾 Improve your pet’s health and behavior

This isn’t just a veterinary service, it’s the foundation of ending pet homelessness.

If you’ve been putting it off, now is the time. And if you’ve already spayed or neutered your pet, thank you for being part of the solution. 🙌

Together, we can create a future where every pet has a home.

✨🐾 Celebrating the heart of Fido Fixers 🐾✨

We are so proud to see the incredible impact of Fido Fixers recognized at Providence Animal Center's Gimme Shelter Gala last night. Honoring co-founders Lisa Wysocki and Suzanne Steinberg highlights what this program is all about—expanding access to spay/neuter and reducing pet overpopulation where it’s needed most.

Every surgery, every mile traveled, and every pet served through Fido Fixers brings us closer to a future with fewer homeless animals. 💛
Because of the support behind programs like Fido Fixers, we can continue delivering lifesaving care directly to the communities that need it most.

Pet overpopulation isn’t a shelter problem. It’s a reproduction problem.

Every day, more puppies and kittens are born than there are homes for them. Even with adoptions and rescue efforts, we cannot keep up if the cycle continues.

That is why spay and neuter is the solution.

It stops the problem at its source:
✔ Prevents unwanted litters
✔ Reduces overcrowding in shelters
✔ Saves lives before animals ever end up homeless

This is not just about individual pets. It is about creating a future where every animal has a chance at a home.

At Fido Fixers, this is the work we do every day.

Be part of the solution. Schedule your pet’s spay or neuter appointment today.

Cole is one of our nine van partners whose team knock themselves out keeping the pets of rural Arkansas spayed and neutered, and Audrey introduced Providence Animal Center to the program, which PAC now runs under Krystina’s management! (Krystina is pictured on the right 🙂.)

A trio of lifesavers!

Stories like this are exactly why we do what we do 💚
Through our partnership with Planned PEThood of GA, our Fido Fixers mobile clinics are bringing high-quality, low-cost spay and neuter services directly into communities that need them most.

Binx is just one of thousands of pets now living healthier, happier lives because his owner had access to care when it mattered. This is how we reduce overpopulation, prevent unnecessary suffering, and keep pets with the families who love them.

Every surgery makes a difference. Every mile our vans travel matters.

Follow along to see the impact we’re making—one pet, one family, one community at a time 🐾

This is exactly why we do what we do 💛

Thanks to our incredible partner The Rescue Train 🚐, this sweet pup didn’t have to wait in a shelter any longer than necessary. One quick spay surgery = immediately ready for adoption and one step closer to a loving home.

This is how we move animals through shelters faster, prevent overcrowding, and save more lives.

Spay/neuter isn’t just a procedure, it’s the solution. 🐾

🚀 Because of You, 2026 Is Off to a Lifesaving Start 🐾

Because of you, Planned PEThood kicked off 2026 with incredible momentum. From January–March, together we:

🐶 Completed 2,269 spay/neuter surgeries (up from 1,244 last year!)
🩺 Provided 3,201 wellness visits to keep pets healthy
🏘️ Served 463 pets through free community clinics
🐱 Rescued & found homes for 81 cats from at‑risk situations

This is prevention in action. This is suffering stopped before it starts. And it’s only possible because of our supporters, donors, volunteers, and partners who believe every animal deserves care and compassion.

Thank you for being part of this lifesaving work.
