We have trained out of the Jobe Ranch for the past several years and get to see these babies hit the ground a grow up out in the pastures. This years crop is EXCEPTIONAL! Head on over to their page to get the latest updates on the yearlings headed to The Clovis Horse Sale this November.

We are a little behind on announcements but we had a fantastic show at the Panhandle Reined Cowhorse Fall into Autumn Show. Cody Patterson and I Got Metallic Genes owned by Heart Bar Horse & Cattle Co. were in the money both days in the Open Two Rein. PW Smooth picked up checks in the Limited Open Bridle with Emily Patterson and all divisions of the Non Pro Bridle with owner Michael Heath. Z Playin earned checks with Emily in the Limited Open Bridle and owner Charlee Baker earned her first NRCHA money in the Youth Boxing. Sara Forrest had some personal bests and placed in Box Drive their first time out! Stephanie Campbell and Don’t Stopp Shining had some personal bests as well! Caitlynn Smart, Marla Gese, and Sammi Nack all made improvements over the weekend and had great progress.

We took a big group with us to this show and we are so grateful to each of our customers and owners for making our team such a fun and supportive environment. From helping each other tack up, to cheering each other on at the back gate I’m so proud of the community within our barn.

I’d also like to thank our amazing team at home, Carter Teryn Christian-Billings, Grace Kelly Miller, and Anthony Galasso, for keeping things running smoothly while we are away.

Introducing Dr Phil Good! “Phil” is a gorgeous 5 year old buckskin gelding that is looking for his next job. He has smooth gaits and transitions, easily picks up his leads, has a great spin and really wants to stop! He has been started on his lead change and cow work and can handle a rope. He rides quietly in the arena and out. He would make a fantastic heel horse or breakaway horse, or could be finished out to be a great stock horse. Papers and videos will be posted in the comments.

For the first time in several years we have a limited number of stalls available for training horses in the next months. I’m sure many of you have seen this video of a young lady and her trainer rescuing several horses from a burning truck and trailer. The young lady in the video was our neighbor in Stockdale when Cody and I first started our business. She is a courageous and hard worker who didn’t think twice to put herself in harms way to help. If you feel compelled to donate please do. There is also a benefit auction in place to help if you would like to donate in that way.

This beautiful 9 year old mare is ready to go show in any event. “Peptos Lucky Shot” aka “Piper” is extremely competitive down the fence and is an accomplished VRH competitor. She has smooth gaits and crisp transitions. Piper is very sweet and not mareish at all. She is very straight forward with lots of COW! Stands 15hh.
