Alfie is a super smart Pit mix who can also be very headstrong and impulsive! To help him control his impulses better, we taught Alfie how to Place and stay put on his cot as we moved in and out of the room. Through this exercise, Alfie is learning how to maintain the self discipline to relax on his cot and wait until we give the signal to get up. This was a big challenge for this energetic guy, but also something he had major breakthroughs with as well. Great work, Alfie and Mom!!

Thor had some key breakthroughs during his latest Basic Obedience session! First, Thor had to learn how to put a slip lead around his head for his walk without getting frustrated or growling, which he did successfully over and over again. 🙌🙌 Next, Thor learned how to Heel properly beside his parents without pulling on his leash, whining, or getting overly excited or distracted. Thor’s Heel Command turned out to be his best and most natural command so far, and he loved figuring out how to play “the Heel game” and earning treats for great behavior! Well done, Thor and family!!

Hank and Darla recently learned how to Heel, one at a time, next to their parents. So this week, once we fine tuned some of their individual Heeling skills, we decided to test how well they could work as team! After figuring out to walk together, both Hank and Darla did an outstanding job Heel walking side by side next to their mom or dad. Great work, everyone!!
