I have been dreading this day since this day last year. This is the day I got a call just before midnight that Barb Skalka had passed away. I knew it was coming. That doesn't and didn't make it any better. Other than I know her suffering was gone and she was in a better place. I can remember the last real talk her and I had in the hospital like it was this morning before she went down hill. She asked how was Kristi was doing and sarah. Told me to treat them good and said your a good dad and husband and such. We talked about manners some but then she went on one of her stories like she always did. She was worried about her dogs and told her I would make sure they would be cared for and not forgotten. I knew that day in my heart when I left that was going to be the real last talk barb and I would have. I went and saw her almost everyday when she got put in the hospital. The last time I saw her she couldn't talk but I sat there talking to her and she knew I was there when I kissed her forehead and hugged her has I said goodbye she gave me a very faint notion has to say goodbye has well. It seems unreal to me that she is gone. I miss her everyday. She was much more than someone I knew for 15 years and worked for almost ten of those years. I would talked to her at least twice a day if not see her five days a week at least. She was someone who truly cared about all the dogs that came into her life has well has the people. I know sarah just loved her and we have every stuffy she gave her. I miss you and love you barb. And has she would say. IF YOU DON'T TRAIN THE DON'T BLAME THEM.

Want to say thank you and congrats to the level 3 agility class, the last class for Manners. I can say without a doubt that all of us at Manners will miss everyone that have let us come into their lives. It has been a true blessing getting to know all the dogs and their families. Barb touched so many lives throughout the years and helped so many dogs and owners when they were told there was no hope. Just remember she always said "If you don't train then don't blame them."
