The assumption that Havanese are inherently prone to separation anxiety is a common misconception. In reality, separation anxiety in dogs is often a learned behavior, primarily influenced by human interaction and training. While it is natural for any dog to desire companionship with their owner, it is our responsibility to teach them how to remain composed during our absence. We should strive to implement effective training strategies to prevent this issue, rather than attributing the problem to the dogs themselves.
