💜 There is something beautiful, healing, and grounding about a gentle touch.
A hand on a nose. A scratch beneath a chin. A quiet moment shared without expectation.
For many of our residents, touch once meant something very different. It came with fear, control, uncertainty, or harm.
At the sanctuary, we get to watch that story change.
Day by day, trust is built through kindness. Through patience. Through the simple act of showing an animal that human hands can bring comfort, safety, and love.
It may seem small, but these moments are at the heart of sanctuary.
