✔️ Look closely at the eyes, ears, and mouth for early signs of illness 👀👂

🐾💛 Little Whiskers Wednesday 💛🐾

These adorable kittens are looking for their forever homes! 🏡🐱

They were born and raised by one of our amazing employees after a brave stray momma showed up needing a safe place to have her babies. She couldn’t let them be born outside, so these little whiskers have been cared for with lots of love from day one. 💕

Now, they’re ready to find families of their own!

Our sweet boy Butters is boarding with us this week while his foster mom gets a little time away. He’s been enjoying the extra snuggles and attention from the team here at the clinic.

⛈️🐱 Hurricane Checklist for Cat Parents 🐱⛈️

Hurricane season is here—are you and your cat prepared? Here’s a quick checklist to keep your feline family safe:

✅ Carrier – sturdy, labeled with your info
✅ Food & Water – at least 3–5 days’ supply
✅ Medications – plus a copy of prescriptions
✅ Litter & Scoop – disposable trays or bags if needed
✅ Comfort Items – favorite blanket or toy to reduce stress
✅ ID & Microchip – make sure your cat’s info is current
✅ Medical Records – in a waterproof bag or folder
✅ Emergency Contacts – vet info, local shelters, evacuation sites

💙 Tip: Keep everything together in a “go bag” so you can grab it quickly if you need to leave.

Cats are masters at hiding illness—often until it’s advanced. That’s why regular veterinary checkups are so important!

During an exam, we:
✔️ Listen for heart murmurs or irregular rhythms

✔️ Check eyes, ears, mouth, and teeth for early issues
✔️ Screen for hidden problems with lab work

📅 Did you know? Cats are considered seniors at age 10, and we recommend exams every 6 months for them. Annual bloodwork helps us catch changes early, before they become bigger health concerns.
