Grape toxicity can be unpredictable in dogs, which means even small amounts can become serious very quickly.
One dog may eat a grape and be fine, while another can develop severe kidney damage from a much smaller exposure. Unfortunately, there’s no reliable way to know how an individual dog will react.
That’s why quick action matters.
If your pet eats grapes, raisins, or foods containing them (like trail mix or baked goods), don’t wait for symptoms to appear—contact your veterinarian or an emergency hospital right away.
Early treatment is often much safer, easier, and more effective than waiting for signs to develop.
